Good on ya, man! Atkins didn't do a damn thing for me (yeah, I lost 20 pounds, but then passed out when I tried to give blood and gained it all back as soon as I stopped) but it's always good to hear people making progress!

BTW - I saw that thing you posted about cinnamon a while ago and decided to try it in my pots of green tea. I don't know if it's helping me lose any faster than just plain ol' regular tea, but tossing a stick into every pot gives it a nice taste and aroma.

Congrats, that's great!

I did the Atkins thing before the Vegas convention and lost 40lbs. But I kinda cheated through Christmas and New Years and gained about 15lbs back I started the diet a few weeks ago and lost 10 lbs as of the first week and half. Haven't checked it since, will probably weigh myself in another day two.

Way to go!!

Cutting out those starchy carbs IS the key to a successful diet.
And I think anyone that has been on the Atkins diet any amount of time always tailors it around themselves so that they stay on the diet without cheating too much.

And you can stay on the diet without going heavy into high fat foods also! You just need to be a tad creative in how you prepare your foods as well as what you actually eat.

I've gone down 4 jeans sizes since being on Atkins and I love it - I do occasionaly eat something carby but it never tastes as good as I think it will.
