Everyone (myself included) can make excuses for the soldiers all we want. I'd be willing to bet that the reason behind the pictures and actions was to try to raise moral and rally troops together. Obviously its not an ideal situation for the soldiers overseas. Its a controversial war at best and they have some seriously harsh conditions to deal with. They need every confidence boost they can get. Unfortunately they get it by demeaning the enemy. Welcome to war.
