I am quite sure I hate arabs more than most of you people, but I have my personal reasons. I don't understand how you just cannot see the other side of the story. |
Well, this war was about liberating the Iraqi people, so i would think the soldiers should be trying a little harder to avoid forcing the iraqi's to perform oral on each other and using them as dog food. But im no soldier.

They just showed a tv interview with one of the reporters who took the pics. Said that he had before shots with the dogs and after shots of the dogs biting the prisoner and having the POW in a pool of his own blood. Absolutely sad to see things like this happening.

This happens in any war. It just did not reach the broad media like in this case, thats all. :2 cents: S. |
Its disapointing what some of the soldiers did, but if we didnt have a Jerry Springer type mentality in the media, these pictures would have never been released. Lots worse stuff happend in previous wars.
Its easy to sit in a comfortable living room and get on a high horse, but these people are over there, putting their life on the line against extremists that have no value for life. The type that lit a civillian convoy on fire and then mutilated the charred corpses. :2 cents: |

Did he explain the complete scenery? Was this on TV or can you share a link / source? Thanx, Steve |
You have to understand that we are fighting people that do not have rules! For God's sake they raise there children to become suicide bombers! So how can we play by the rules when the objectives don't? Really how do you do it? It is almost impossible. These US Soldiers have to worry about any child walking by them for fear of them having a bomb attached to there bodies! That is fucking scary! And you know what probably most of those Prisoners in the pictures have children that they are teaching to hate and kill so shame on them. You don't teach children that shit. To me there really is no rules or Geneva Convention in war, you get what you get and you do what you have to, to stay alive and win.

Why exactly is this picture fucked up? For all you know he was trying to escape and the dogs cornered him. The one guy is ordering him to get on the ground and he doesnt seem to be complying. They have the dogs held back. Alright I'll agree, this one is fucked up. But it was also one of the first pics released. There could be another story though. Maybe theres a guard on the bottom of that pile that they are beating? Long shot, but we cant get the whole story from these pics. Alright show me an american soldier in this picture. As if this doesnt happen in EVERY prison. We dont know someone is forcing them to do this. The guy has his hands on the other dudes head. Maybe its sexual, or maybe hes taking off the mask. Looks like he was injured somehow (could have been in battle) and they are just icing him down. Damn nice thing to do if the guy is sore if you ask me. You guys need to stop assuming until the story behind the pics is explained. :winkwink: |

Yes most of these guys are probably former Republican Guards, and I'm sure many saw action in Kuwait and did atrocious stuff as well, however they did what they did under the command and orders of Saddam. They had to do those horrific acts or they would be killed and tortured themselves. This is the point I'm making. Our soldiers aren't doing this under duress. That takes it to a whole different level unless indeed it was ordered and authorized by higher ups in Washington which I'm beginning to believe is the real truth here since its now being found to be widespread in more than this one prison. |

I don't see anything terrible happening. They are naked, but they're not doing anything sexual or getting hurt in the pictures (sure, the bj shot but he has a bag on his head, and the cheerleader tripod thing). Looks like they're just priming them for interrigation.

I still think Bush will be re-elected. This will only hurt him momentarily.
Just wait till the trial of Saddam starts if you want to see some spin at it's finest. |

Those guys are still intact and want their power base back. All the guys that lived well off Saddam's inner circle want that money and lifestyle again. Somebody with a lot of money has to be financing all these insurgents. These insurgents are not wealthy looking so someone is supplying them with weapons and ammunition and that takes money and power to move supplies discreetly. They got Saddam, but the US obviously hasn't not gotten the power and money guys that were behind yet. |

Um, she was raped in case you forgot. The sex was simulated... he's got a fucking bag on his head for christsakes. To deal with people that would rather die and meet Allah than talk you have to demean them the worst way possible and break them. And using dogs, women and homosexuality are the perfect tools to use with this particular group of people. |

"One particularly heavy blow caught me on the jaw, directly over my teeth. Only the skin of my cheek lay between the edge of the butt (of the rifle striking him) and two of my back molars. I felt the teeth crack and splinter, and then the pain of it hit me. I was down and screaming my head off. I tried to spit out the fragments, but my mouth was too swollen and numb. I couldn't swallow. The moment my tongue touched the sharp tend stumps of what remained of my teeth I passed out".
This little bit is from a book called Bravo Two Zero, written by Andy McNab. This is what the Iraqis did to him after they captured him behind the lines in 1991. |

Al-Saeidi said he found no signs of rape during an examination although he acknowledged he was not looking for any signs of sexual assault. " |
