I think arabs have a natural fear of dogs. I don't know why. But every time I order a pizza, I have to pass the money under the door or something. As my dog barks every time our doorbell rings (not an angry bark), they are absolutely fucking terrified. It's the same thing even if it's a different guy delivering the pizza. 100% of pizza delivery guys are arabs though.

They just showed a tv interview with one of the reporters who took the pics. Said that he had before shots with the dogs and after shots of the dogs biting the prisoner and having the POW in a pool of his own blood. Absolutely sad to see things like this happening.

Its disapointing what some of the soldiers did, but if we didnt have a Jerry Springer type mentality in the media, these pictures would have never been released. Lots worse stuff happend in previous wars.

Its easy to sit in a comfortable living room and get on a high horse, but these people are over there, putting their life on the line against extremists that have no value for life. The type that lit a civillian convoy on fire and then mutilated the charred corpses.

You have to understand that we are fighting people that do not have rules! For God's sake they raise there children to become suicide bombers! So how can we play by the rules when the objectives don't? Really how do you do it? It is almost impossible. These US Soldiers have to worry about any child walking by them for fear of them having a bomb attached to there bodies! That is fucking scary! And you know what probably most of those Prisoners in the pictures have children that they are teaching to hate and kill so shame on them. You don't teach children that shit. To me there really is no rules or Geneva Convention in war, you get what you get and you do what you have to, to stay alive and win.

It was on TV. He was from the news agency, not the original photographer and explained they had pics of the dogs scaring the guy and then of him in his own blood. He said it was pretty obvious what happened between the two pics but he never said specifically that the dogs did it although he surely hinted at it.

Well Saddam was Saddam like in any dictatorship or organized crime operation and you have very powerful and ultra wealthy businessmen behind the scenes controlling things and the real power in these countries.

Those guys are still intact and want their power base back. All the guys that lived well off Saddam's inner circle want that money and lifestyle again. Somebody with a lot of money has to be financing all these insurgents. These insurgents are not wealthy looking so someone is supplying them with weapons and ammunition and that takes money and power to move supplies discreetly.

They got Saddam, but the US obviously hasn't not gotten the power and money guys that were behind yet.

on the ground, in battle. sure you do what you have to do. this is a prison, these ppl are not threats. there is no excuse for this. you can be sure once these guys get home, if they do they will have a lot more hate for america and americans and things will only get worse as the cycle continues.

This situation isnt much different, except that the Iraqis are much better soldiers than the Somalis were. Nobody ever wins in urban combat.
