Yes most of these guys are probably former Republican Guards, and I'm sure many saw action in Kuwait and did atrocious stuff as well, however they did what they did under the command and orders of Saddam. They had to do those horrific acts or they would be killed and tortured themselves.
This is the point I'm making. Our soldiers aren't doing this under duress. That takes it to a whole different level unless indeed it was ordered and authorized by higher ups in Washington which I'm beginning to believe is the real truth here since its now being found to be widespread in more than this one prison.
