I got two e-mails this morning that received the same kind of reply from me, I'll quote 'em here, I think they're interesting enough to share with the world:

I can't believe how lazy people are getting... No, there is no affiliate program that updates my site every day. This industry seems to be getting overflown by people that think it's a matter of leaving your name and address at a sponsor and then sit back and relax... It's not. This industry takes hard work and A LOT of dedication. It took me almost 9 years of daily work to get where I am today...

We don't list hosted galleries for that same reason. I don't mind people making money at all. But I'm not ready to just give it away. If I wanted to list hosted galleries that you find on every single link-site out there I would sign up myself. It took me effort to get where I am. And when effort is showing from a gallery I will certainly list it (if it's a good effort that is ;-). Be creative people. Lucky for me there are people out there that will go that little extra bit to create great galleries to submit...

There are a lot of visitors on my site, they go there to see the galleries that just have that extra little bit. I know the traffic sent to the galleries is good, please let the submittions you guys send in be just as good. In the end it will help us both ;-)

I submitted a few galleries about 2 years ago. Whoever was updating at that time was really helpfull, and emailed back exactly why you weren't being listed. I was pretty new to galleries back then I thought linking thumbnails to sponsors as an ad was a good idea

Everybody wants fast money... No1 have time to work and wait for results.. And is also true that if you will try open a similar site with thehun, i am sure in 9 years will not have a big business but some bad memories.. time is changing..

I agree. But there is somehing more as getting listed. My galleries were listed several times, but the sales they were doing weren´t the same. So there are two reasons, I think:

The first maybe is that I got different types of users. On the one hand those who were searching for a paysite out of a special niche, on the other hand those who were just searching for free content.

The second maybe that the galleries quality were different and some of them maybe weren´t as good as some others.

So it takes a large time of work getting listed and another large time of work building converting galleries. So I agree with you, work is needed for success all the time.

It could still be pending... it could be the mail got lost (somehow that seems to happen a lot lately) or it could indeed be you didn't get a reply... We're still very helpful, simply cause it helps both sides. People like to know why they don't get listed, and we like to get top notch galleries. Frankly, I'm running 100mbits solid on my server these days .. I need to get a second server up before I take a stab at more listings.

I fully understand where you're coming from. And at the risk of the peanut gallery calling me an ass licker, I appreciate you taking the time to answer here.

You'll note from my previous replies, that I have only submitted a handfull of times. I really don't think I fall in to the case of simply not listening to your replies.

I am already running a large number of hits to my galleries (1-1.5 million daily) without paying for listings. Honestly, the only listings I've ever considered buying have been yours.

The price kind of bites a bit though, when you aren't used to paying anything at all .. My stratedgy had always been to try and get a free listing, see how that worked and try to caluclate if paid listings would work for me. Unfortunetly, it hasn't paid off yet.

No matter. I didn't get as big as I am without a little hard work, and I'm not afraid to keep at it until it pays off ;)

What a lot of the new folks don't realize is that most, if not all of us "old timers" had at LEAST a year where we were working 14, 16, even 20 hour days. Yes we can afford to play some now, but even still we put in 10-12 hour days.

Or am I the only one.

If I were to give only one advice to TGP's is keep it clean and "hosted galleries free" and you'll eventually make much more money than a one shot deal with them....

Mr Hun thoses were newbs and don't have common sence . It's not all beeing lazy. I personally try to get all my sites to run by themselves the most I can as I'd be too busy . You make way more money if you program something that does the job itself OR by one of your employes instead of getting it done yourself.

I don't understand how it's DESTROYING the porn industry . It's just getting better . Less quality galleries = Less free porn normally . How can you make more money by giving more free porn and less ads .

TGPS are too clean as we speak and there SHOULD be 3-4 x time more ads per free porn given away .

Ok EXPLAIN to me WHY it destroys the industry ? It just destroy your gallery spot because there is less spots for submitters.

It also bring the productuvity of the TGP down a lil bit but that's the owner's business .

I was one of the first tgp to use sponsor galleries from all sponsors . I had a huge database of galleries and all sponsors made me custom galleries too ...

And yet I grew my site at 450k without any problems even with the 10 % prod cut or so that it was giving me .

It does not hurt the industry, only the newbs that can only make money with submitting and that don't have enough money to buy spots.

It's just a personal opinion you got about them because they are stealing your spots ... NOTHING wrong with a hosted gallery from a sponsor .

Its actually better . Less charge back since all the content used for the gallery is actually in the paysite and the webmaster don't make fake promeses.

It's my opinion that if TGP's let themself lure in the lazyness of hosted galleries that soon they will be listing the same content, and away is the diversety of content. That's a good thing for me, 'cause that means that wil very little effort from my side (read: not listing hosted gals) I will have a link-site that stands out between the rest. Which means I'll have a lot of traffic, which means gallery submitters will go that little extra bit to get a gallery listed.

Lots of people submit hosted galleries, or copy hosted galleries and put them on their own server (yeah, right, like we don't reckognize the gallery after the third time it's submitted ;-)...

I don't think hosted galleries 'take up' spots from other galleries. You have to remember that the 'regular gallery builders' don't have any RIGHTS to any spot on any link-site. It's a lot of work replying to gallery builders, watching 'em (yes, there still are a lot of cheaters out there), helping 'em, making sure the content is ok... hosted galleries are a lot easier. There are programs out there that don't even require a new link, so you have a daily updated site without any work. Just don't expect to make too much money with that.

Yes, some "quick money hunters" are popping up here and there. This is a matter of business - their mission ends when they understand that their easy bucks are not here.

But when FHGs are in question, their effectiveness is still lower than of handmade galleries, but the direction is right and many sponsors here get close to diversity and quality of handmade galleries

Alot of people just dont have enought money to buy gallery spots for 400 bucks a month which is cheap. Submitting is really hard now a day. Its hard work. Partner accounts are great, but they also cost money. Its hardcore work work and work!!
