So, this is pretty interesting news. Apparently FetishCash has just fired PattyeCake, who, as I understand it is the account rep for 7000 FC affiliates, and thereby responsible for over have of FC's revenue.

What makes this interesting, and therefore drama, is that on Wednesday PattyeCake was diagnosed with uterine cancer. On Thursday Scott fired her. That seems like a pretty cold move.

Oh well, I guess PR is not his forte.

Scott is a cocksucker anyway. I have not said shit about him or his business practices publicly because I did not want to rag on the company that Pattyecake was working for.

FetishCash is pretty much dead in the water at this point. If Scott thinks his numbers have sucked lately, it's because people have been pulling their links left and right and this move on his part pretty much stuck a fork in his program....at least that's my prediction.

I went out of my way to get Scott on a guest list for a party as a favor to Pattyecake. Pattyecake flew about 2000 miles to atttend the party that was an hour or so away from Scott's house. After all that, Scott never even bothered to show up.

That's fairly minor but it gives you an idea of how much he cares about others.

Okay, I have just been informed I may have received some inaccurate data, but since I can't edit my post I will just say that she has about 600 affiliates, and that half may be a little over-stated.

No difference though, still a pretty shitty move IMHO.

I do not know any of the people involved, but a question comes to mind, how do you know the dude scott knew about her diagnosis, and or what if he intended on doing this move before he found out? does he need to keep someone just for an illness? would you want someone to keep you around just cause they knew you were sick? not me...

How would you feel if you had an employee in her state dedicated to keeping things under control with the webmasters?

Ive met Scott and he is a pretty cool dude, to me anyway.

I've used fetish cash a long time, got paid every single time.

I dont know what occured with PattyeCake, but Ive never had a single problem with Fetish Cash.


Of course I try and stay out of my sponsors business with their employees

I have no idea what has occured with Pattyecake, or what her employment agreement was with FetishCash.

Do you know Baddog? I mean was she an independent contractor? On commision based only? In house?

I don't know about the US but unless there were 'warnings' prior - the fact that he fires you one day after you're diagnosed could be considered 'discrimination' and he would have to continue to pay for your medical coverage + give you a nice severance pay.

rather then speculating, how about letting the woman rest. two very big pieces of bad news in a short time frame can work wonders on a person's esteem. then to see it on a board...good god.

Because she announced it. Of course, she did not find out last Thursday she was fired, she just found out tiday (again, my understanding of the facts).

I know last Friday I was asking for a button and linking code with her affiliate ID to put up on ContentShopper to help her out a little. Today I find out she was fired, effective last Thursday.

On the flip side......Perhaps she is OK with it? Her medical issues were mention on netpond within the last 2 days and she did not seem to have a problem with that.

Big problem is a thread like this could really hurt her chances of getting hired by a new company.

She would be better off hiring an attorney...heck in california you can get the state to fight for you.

Taking it to the boards could really backfire on her, if she plans on continuing.

Also, isnt there the law that you can continue your health insurance even after termination?

if it's the post youre referring to, i dont see her responding to any of what was posted. i see a whole bunch of other people posting but not one response from her. i see who was the one who made the initial announcement but again, nothing from pattycake stating anything about her life.

maybe, just maybe she is trying to deal with this in private before taking it public. could she be ok with it as you stated....possibly. could she be too busy trying to gain some sense of understanding rather then read the boards....very possibly.

Ya know what? I'm the one that 1st announced Pattye's condition on Netpond. This was after I spent literally HOURS on the phone with her. I'm the bastard that leaked the info to baddog about her being fired retroactively today. So blame ME for being the shithead that "gave out personal info". Pattye knows what I have posted, and she's very comfortable with that.

She's on some heavy meds right now so probably not aware of this thread as she's likely in bed, but I'm sure she will appreciate everyone's words of support and love in this thread.

The bottom line is that she DID get "officially" fired ONE DAY after telling her bosses about her condition. However, her bosses were too chickenshit to let her know until today that she hasn't had a job since LAST Thursday. I for one know that until sometime today she still had access to their system and was in contact daily with her "superiors".

This is fucked up, and you can guarantee that I'll be pulling all my sites - even though I merely send FC a dozen or so hits a day.

I was PattyeCakes boss for the last 6 months and consider her a friend. That's not the way it went down at all. This is a pretty inflamatory thread, especially when trying to pin PC's separation from Fetish Cash to her diagnosis. I usually don't even bother with these types of gossip posts, but since it deals with my company, I'm forced to.

And for anyone else who says they are in the know about this information... they aren't.
