here's my tip.

Develop various routines and shortcuts that will help you do your work faster. If you are focusing on TGP and freesite submissions, make a list with links to all the TGP's that you submit to, and use an automatic form filler to submit faster, make gallery templates that will be easy foryou to alter quickly.
If you run paysites, use a software that will let you update all your pay sites quickly.

No matter what you're focusing on, you should set some time aside to create work routines that will save you more time in the long run.

The Power of Creativity

A blind man sat on the steps of a building with a Hat by his feet and a sign that read:
"I am blind, please help".

A creative publicist was walking by him and stopped to observe, he only had a few coins in his hat.

He dropped a few more coins into the hat and without saying anything, took the sign, turned it around, and wrote a sentence on it.

He placed the sign by the blind man's feet and left.

That afternoon the creative publicist returned by the blind man and noticed that his hat was full of bills and coins. The blind man recognized his footsteps and asked if it was him who had re-written his sign and he wanted to know what did he write on it?

The publicist responded:
"Nothing that was not true, I just rewrote your sign differently".

He smiled and went on his way. The blind man never knew, but his new sign read:

"Today is Spring and I Cannot See it".

- Change your strategy when something does not go your way.
- Present yourself in a different way when things are not working out.
- A change in outlook can turn your life around.

:glugglug

Very well put. :thumbsup

I will add this.

- to remember that what your selling/presenting must appeal to
your customers even if it doesn't appeal to you. You're not the
one buying it. They are.

I learned a long time ago to stop designing what I liked...and design what "they" like. Know you're target demographic and
give them what they want. :)

don't start projects you can't finish

sickkittens 03-19-2004 09:12 AM

set priorities - don't start new projects if more important ones aren't finished

sickkittens 03-19-2004 09:13 AM

always think of new ways to make more money

sickkittens 03-19-2004 09:14 AM

network. network. network. Make contacts, etc. but only rely on yourself 100%.

sickkittens 03-19-2004 09:15 AM

Always have a backup plan (or 2) in case of failure or dissapointment.

sickkittens 03-19-2004 09:16 AM

Be brandable - make yourself standout and be unique. Create an image that is easy recognizable and one that can easily connect you with your quality.

sickkittens 03-19-2004 09:18 AM

Don't put your eggs in one basket - don't rely on one source of traffic or money and don't spend more than you can make. :2 cents:

Repetitive Monkey 03-19-2004 09:18 AM

Jot down all ideas you come up with, no matter how crude, and work hard on the idea that fascinates you the most at any particular point in time.

This ensures that you keep your fingers (and mind) working hard, whereas if you worked on one project/idea at a time you would have more low efficiency peaks and a higher stress level.

That's my modus operandi at least. :)

Roll the dice once in a while and take risks.

If you wait for someone else to tell you something is working it's already too late. Try doing things no one else has thought of and stick to your plan.

One risky move that pays off will outweigh ten failed ideas any day. The risk takers are always at the head of the pack.

I don't think I'm eligible to win. But here goes.

This simple yet complex practice will do more to maximize profits than just about any single other technique residing in a webmasters arsenal.

I could simply say, "target your traffic". But that simple phrase is one of the most basic mistakes I see in web based marketing today.

Each and every link a surfer clicks is a statement of what they want. The laws of demand and supply say that when a demand for something meets a supply of that same thing, money exchanges hands.

The holy grail of marketing is information about your prospective customer. As I stated before each link a surfer clicks is a statement of his desires. We are not in the business of advertising, we are not in the business of entertainment.

WE ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF CONVINCING AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE THAT AN ORGASM, RIGHT NOW, IS WORTH A FEW BUCKS.

When building sites it is the rich man who loads his site with enticing questions and delivers content specific to each question answered with a click.

EDIT: TRANSLATION: Don't put amateur banners on a gallery full of trannies.

Speaking from a promo, free site, tgp'er perspective......
1. Do not be afraid to re-invest.
2. Do not waste time promoting something you don't feel right about about. Just because it works for someone else, it may not for you. Follow your heart! promo stuff you beieve in, something you would join if you were not a webmaster, something you LIKE.
3. Do not be an ass on boards and other contacts. Egos just burn bridges.
4. Promo hard the stuff where you have a communication with someone from the company you are promoting, at least I find that works for me.
5. Go to the webmaster partys, let them buy you drinksand other funny stuff, good PR.

Treat your members / customers well and develop relationships with them. Everybody likes to feel important, and that simple act of a special photo on their birthday, or some acknowledgement of their interests will build a lifetime of loyalty.
Loyalty = Retention, and rebills are how you eat.

Don't be afraid to reinvest every penny into your adult business until you have hit your target revenue, then begin investing your porn profit in mainstream ventures like real estate and stocks.

What to invest in? Tools that will accelerate your revenue engines (could be content, scripts, traffic, whatever makes your business more scalable and efficient and what ever takes your successful source of income and multiplies it.)

Another point: while you are growing your business "dance with the one that brung ya". If you made a lot of cash from one technique, don't think you've reached a new level and abandon that technique for 'the next big thing'... just accellerate that technique even higher while you launch the new effort in parallel.

Well, I think it's quite simple, and yet it isn't:

KNOW WHO YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE!
-Make a proper Segmentation on that basis.
-Target your products at the right segments.
-Position them optimally.

Basic marketing.

Unfortunately this is a quite expensive process...but it works!

1. If a potential customer has a question, answer it and do it nicely
2. Dont screw people over, it will only hurt you in the long run even if you make a quick buck for it now
3. Put an ADD TO FAVORITES button on your sites, customers like things to be easy for them and if they click that, you could have a potential customer for life!
4. Supply what you are selling, give people what they paid for!

Baersupplier 03-19-2004 03:51 PM
