Does a sponsor lose credibility when they....

switch from ccbill to "their" own software for tracking stats? Just curious as I received an email from a certain sponsor just now.

i think it depends on the sponsor, but it's been shown you can shave atleast 2 different ways with ccbill so I dont see how that makes it any different.

The best part of CCbill is your checks don't bounce and arrive ontime.

Only if the sponsor (if it is CCBill, Epoch, Jettis, IBill, or any other processor) does not intent to use MULTIPLE processors as the new solution is their new software.

If they are going to use multiple processors in their new software, then it will only MAKE YOU MORE MONEY, so I would not worry if that was the case.

I am sure there is more to this "story"... Details please...

Oystein stop with the MPA2 spam, LOL its not directed towards cascading billing in anyway. Im just askin why would they switch? Knowing webmasters have a certain comfort level with ccbill. Its just shady in my eyes and I wont be riding that train.

Funny you should say that buddy, I never even mentioned MPA2 even though I should have - since it does make you more MONEY!

I was just stating a fact...

I was disappointed to see that they were switching.. don't know if I'm gonna keep promoting them yet.

I like using ccbill sponsors, because I KNOW I'm gonna get my check. All these rogue sponsor programs seem to end up tits up and I'm left with no check.

It's a pretty foolish business decision for any accused sponsor to move away from CCBill stats right now reguardless of their guilt or innocence.

If I was one of those sites and it truly was a mistake, then my damage control would be to simply stay with CCBill and promote the fact that I can't shave even if I wanted to now that the setting is open for public view by CCBill.

By moving away from CCBill stats, accoused sponsors realistically can't do anything to correct the assumption that they are con's.

What's going to happen is the industry will develop a notion that accused sponsors are moving to their own stats immediately because of a financial dependance on making the supposed shaves.

I hear you... It is truly a safety to have the checks coming directly from the processor in a lot of cases. I agree with that - to a certain extent. Dont forget that I used to be with Epoch back in 97-99 - so I know where the safety lies - for the most part... HOWEVER, in cases like GloBill and PSW (and others like them) where they just vanished from the face of this planet,

When you choose a sponsor that use his/hers/companys stand-alone software to track and distribute the checks for the referral traffic, you can now hold THEM liable for the money and collect (a lot of times easier than to collect from a bancrupt processor due to pressure from forums like GFY) - because the owners of the program in question always will be a FACE rather than a COMPANY - - - we all have our own opinions on this, of course, so feel free to comment.

PS. On my way to a movie (21 grams), but will check in later to post any replies.

PPS. I want to know if this company went to using JUST CCBill with their own stats or........

Great question btw Number1Thumb

To address one point you made, I have way more confidence in ccbill then some punk kid hiding behind his computer sending me my checks. Trust me just look at likewhoa, no amount of forum pressure will ever get those guys back their servers money or anything else. So I will stick with a company with a presence. Ya know I didnt check to much if they are cascading it or not.

And I agree to the fullest!

Not to change subject here, but we do price MPA2 as a high end product (which it is) just to avoid punks being able to use it. Our business have no use for them. Stay strong with the strong ones...

Unfortunately some of the software packages out there does give "punks" tools they should not have, at a too low price...

Oh well, have to go... cya all later...
