is there a windows program that will randomly switch out backgrounds from a folder at set intervals? i know there must be. i've seen them on macs before.

Style XP can change your wallpapers.

You have the choice between:

Windows Start
Daily
Weekly

Its also a nice tool to customize your whole xp appearance. You can modify the taskbar ... ah, fuck it ... like i said, it modifies everything. There are hundreds of premade skins for that tool.

damn. no xp on this computer. still ME. (and i actually have a good reason. i have some really complicated macros running perfectly with his machine. i'd hate to have to try and redo them. they are incredibly finicky)

For anyone who's interested, this is Slackware Linux 9.1 running Fluxbox as a window manager, a background from fluxmod.dk, Rox Filer (file manager with Gant icons from Deviantart), two transparent aterm terminals, one of which is running vim, XMMS (Winamp clone for Linux), and gkrellm system monitor down in the corner there.
