Actually, I have alot of black friends - both men and women and none smell (if anything, they smell way better than some white people I know). If the women you are referring to have braids, it may be the treatment they have to get done on their hair to 'replace' washing their hair. If you know of a white woman who has braids done and maintains them (and not a vacation thing) she should smell the same way after the treatment.
