I appreciate your comments, but if you can't appreciate the beauty of an overcast day -- you got problems... My guess is that the photographer took this pic at this time of day with this weather for artistic reasons -- I ran with the feel of the pic and kept that feel consistenet with the the laptop, the boat, text, floor, etc...

If you've been following Sony.com's website and products (the current leader in the design of popular high-technology) and the Powerbook you'll see they have been using similar "overcast" colors -- it goes with the latest trends so Neriah's site is up-to-date.

I'm glad you noticed this... In fact there's no gaussian blur, there's no blur at all. That's a stroke on the text selection at a very high resolution brought down to 800x600. The "blur" effect is in fact intentional -- I used complimentary color "blue" to play/vibrate off the color of her flesh and sky -- with an opacity to softly integrate with shapes of the text with the shapes of her body if you noticed the alignments that I made -- a harsh edge would be too disruptive with her body -- believe me I tried it.

It's funny you say it's blurry when most comments so far has been that my design is crisp. In reality the outline of the "NERIAH" text is about 1 pixel at this reslution -- so I'll take it as acompliment that I achieved this "blur" effect :)

Look at how the "N" in Neriah in my design plays off the whole fucking sky, the whole fucking horizon, AND her leg... I pull 50% of the entire compositional space BAM like a damn black whole into the first letter of her first name -- the most important letter...

My definition os stimulation doesn't need to change. You have no clue what you're talking about. You want to ask any of my former clients how well MY designs stimulate? You want to ask a few people that promote my tours how well they convert? I KNOW stimulation. If my definition of stimulation changed then I'd be screwing over alot of people. :)

His whole design is comic book/cartoon inspired. Pick up any old Image comic at the comic store and you will see where he gets his design ideas from -- and as I demonstrated he stole his logo design from Voltron, an old cartoon.

Haaa... I really don't care if I win -- to be honest I'm not even sure I would design Neriah's tour even if she asked me... This is really the first time I've done any graphic design since 1995!! And while I'm proud of my finished design -- #1 I never do contests -- this is a rare exception -- I think contests are insulting to artists... getting all this work for artwork for free. #2 I don't do commissions. #3 I make what I want, when I want, HOW I want -- and nobody can say a fucking thing about it -- that's how I make my art... and if you like the result you buy it -- and if you don't -- you're an idiot.

I'm just suprised that the designers aren't here defending their work... because I've ripped them all up... I'll rip any art you post in here -- because 99.9% of artists suck ass because they watch too much TV and read too many comic books.

I already know the general public doesn't appreciate most of my art -- because they're INGORANT -- and that's my job -- to teach these assholes what beauty is!!! That's not an issue for me... the artists and people I respect enjoy and collect my work... I've taken my paintings out into the streets -- 99% of people don't even enjoy art unless the recognize what it is... That's why Andy Warhol and the Pop artists are so famous -- they made art for the common fool...

Overcast colors might work for Sony but you're not selling electronics, you're selling a Playmate. Yea, maybe the "N" lines up perfectly with her tits, maybe you've got the most artistic, modern design, maybe the ship in the background represents some deep, hidden secret about her psyche :1orglaugh but the design is NOT SEXY.
