I will state again that it is my understanding that 70% of the prison popultation are in prison because of drug related crime...and that means those that were stealing or robbing among other things...and they sometimes kill when robbing.

i know many many pot smokers that hold government jobs here in canada and smoke the stuff daily.

Okay Colin - you say "relatively high homicide rate".

Are you comparing that to 1st and 3rd world countries?

If you're comparing US homicide rates to 3rd world countries, you're not really helping your point are you? :1orglaugh

What exactly would that explain about the Canadian government?

Also, many people that are in jail on drug related crimes are not in there because of pot I can assure you that.

I'm disappointed. I don't think you're doing too well. You have to follow the thread to know what is being referred to.

My post referred to past posts that mentioned "particularly high homicde rates" and "similar countries". The homicide rate is higher than in Canada, France, Germany, the UK, Spain, Australia, or New Zealand.

Talk about a violent society. The non-gun homicide rate in the US is higher than the total homicide rate in Australia, Germany, France or the UK. We Americans are stabbing, drowning, and poisoning each other.

Super. That's Canada. I don't live in Canada. Different cultures are into different things. Americans are shocked by bad things and are sucked up into them. It's annoying as hell when you're trying to drive somewhere and there's an accident, everybody slows down to check it out.

Our cultures are about the same man ... Almost same school programs, almost same music, same movies, same video games, same drugs etc

Yes, but are the 50 of those gun related? I think not!

11K + murders GUN RELATED
150 murders GUN RELATED

Again - why is this breaking news?

Why do you spend your life arguing common knowledge points to death?

The US is violent. We all know that.

The US has high crime, huge prison population, and an awful lot of gun deaths.

And is the highest in all those areas compared to all other 1st world countries.

THAT is the whole point of this thread.

Prove otherwise, or quite yer whining.

In addition to being a stoner i too was an alcoholic, Ive had the shakes in the morning and have gone days with beer binges, you cant lie to me about what you do.

I know your type well. I used to drink a lot too. Unlike you I went to AA, and got rid of the problem ;)

I still drink too, Its one thing to have a drinking problem, but its another to see them deny it.
