Bullshit. I have had NOTHING. At one point, I sold anything I had of value, including my CDs for $20 bucks. I was broke, faced sleeping in my car, if I didn't live with my grandmother for a few months, I would have had to.

Bush's economy? My family lost it's business during Clinton's economy when the economy was supposedly so good. I saw the decline start in the early 90s and the internet boom is the only thing that temporarily perked anything up.

Any person who is not disabled, can go get a minimum wage job, get a crappy apartment and make themselves not homeless. Poverty in the US might not be appealing, but it is nothing like poverty in other countries, where they live in slums and have no sanitation. At poverty level in the US, you can still have food and water everyday, electricity, heat, TV, radio and so many other things, that don't even exist in 3rd world countries, on top of ways to better your situation. No one "chooses" to be homeless, but they do choose to remain that way.

The idiots arguing who "won" the war w/ the axis powers in WWII need to STFU and fucking realize it was mutual.

Russia would not have won w/o the US supplies (this is a fact, and not arguable by sane people), and the split-front of the allied western front (this point is of course arguable). By all accounts, Russia would have fallen before the western front picked up had the US not been pumping resources upon resources into their country. Same goes for Britain, very good chance she would have fallen as well w/o the US supplies. The US was spending an insane amount of money far before Dec 7th.. And war material production was of course at very high levels.

That said..

We may (who really knows) all be speaking german or japanese right now if Russia didn't make the very painful sacrifices it did in just pure casualties and manpower. I have a lot of respect for russia because of that fact, and just find it rather sad what happened immediately after the war. Same goes to Britain, at a somewhat lesser extent. The average russian and british citizen made enormous sacrifices during the war, as did their armies.

So.. Without EACHOTHER, shit would have been a LOT DIFFERENT. I personally don't think the US would have fallen, just the whole uh.. oceans thing. But, that's a different discussion for a different day.

Just sick of seeing the same fucking arguments by both fanatical sides. "You all owe the US because we saved you!!!!", and "Fuck off US, you didn't do SHIT!! Russia did it all!". Screw you both, like I said it was mutually beneficial.

First, off. That picture was from an earlier parade to commemorate the war that ended in 1988. I'm guessing that picture is from 1998 then, the 10 ten year anniversary.

Their inability to produce more weapons is the most important thing. Do you want to leave Saddam in power and let him develop nukes? They addmited in 1995 they had anthrax, etc, but said they destroyed it. They arent the most honest people, so somehow I dont believe they did.
