Porsche Drivers Eduacation Class

Summit Point Race Track in West Virgina

You get 5-25 minute runs on the track and it was like $75 for the day ( not counting tires and brakes)

2 mile course with 10 turns and a half mile straight away.

half mile straight goes directly into a U turn ( your dead if your not on the inside track)

Never got past 150MPH in a 993 but heard turbos can hit 165MPH

Seen another HiwayPatrol ahead of me, figured I would do better with a wreckless driving ticket than evading the law.

I did the smart thing and pulled over.

135mph in a Golf GTi as a passenger, but the fastest I have ever driven at myself is about 115mph in the same car!

At the weekend I was in a porsche doing 100mph through small country roads. Then when I drove it I only done 90mph. I know I know I'm a pussy but fuck smashing a $100,000 car thats not mine!!!

250 km/h (about 150mph) on a Ninja750. Best I've got my current bike (SV650) is 223 km/h on Mosport's long, uphill back straight.

Oh, and 165km/h in a Ford F-150

I have done 153mph in my Stang, and 218mph solo on a turbo charged GSX1300R Hyabussa on I-15 between Vegas and L.A. By far the sickest ride I have ever piloted. 300+ rear wheel horsepower on a bike is insane. The best I could get out of my GSXR750 was 170 on that same stretch of road. They are a lot more relaxed to bikes out here in the desert.

Im torn between Getting another R-1, The new Yamaha GP released in Oct, or a Hyabussa.
I like the power and speed of the bussa, but not to hip on the looks of it.
I was talking to a mech at a local dealership, he was working on one and said the guy punched it, and the torque of the machine snapped the stock chain in half.

the gsx-r 1000 (I think that is what it is) has a hyabusa like nose and it has the traditional r/w/b color scheme and looks hot...I will try and find a link.

The bad part about speeding is not that you can turn yourself into little pieces of shredded flesh, but that you can also do that to the other people on the road.

JFK,

When your born in Kansas, and raised in Oklahoma,
both are pretty boring places to live, so you have
to make your own fun, sometimes it involves breaking
the law.
Luckily for me, my parents owned the only donut shop in
town, so the only time I got speeding tickets, was when
I left the county.

191 MPH clocked at the start finish line at Daytona International Speedway, it was a bike does that count?

Fastest I have gone in a car is 140, but that was flat out on a long sweeper in my M3 lots of fun

Yeah I like the R-1's they are great bikes to ride. I am just intoxicated with the amount of power the new Suzuki's have(and can get with a couple of bolt ons). I have been riding since I was 6, and I must say these are exciting times.... I think if you like to do any traveling on a bike, but dont want to sacrifice comfort for performence then get your hands on a Bussa. If you really just like to carve it up for weekend blasts then the R-1 would be a better bike for you. I will tell you though on the highway(Roll on) the R-1 will not hang long with a Bussa, or the GSXR1000.

There a stretch of two lane highway going North from Raton up into Colorado that is as straight as an arrow for as far as you can see. From the top of a hill on a clear day.... Its called the Gunbarrel by the locals and thats where you see the Corvettes and Mustang State Police cars, and in the 80's they actually had a Porsche Turbo. They use those cars to catch the speed freaks that drive down from Aspen and Denver just to open their cars up on that road.
Not much point for a cop to radio ahead for a roadblock when youre in the middle of fucking nowhere and theres no police for miles and miles.

On, on topic-
160 mph, 99 Porsche C2 Cab
150 mph (+/- about 5 mph) 67 Firebird
145 mph 86 Honda Interceptor 500 (indicated, at 12K rpm (Redline is 11.5K))

But the most intense of all is riding an old school chopper in New York City. That is adrenaline.
Fuck Taxi's!

This thread has my name all over it.....

140 MPH in my new Mustang GT.

In my first Mustang..... '95 GT.... I got clocked doing 135 MPH. Cop was cool, and he wrote me a ticket for doing over 100. $800 fine and my insurance went through the roof.

This past weekend....... 186 MPH on my motorcycle on Rt. 10 heading out to California. That was a once in a lifetime!

I rode my bike from Vegas to Oklahoma, Oklahoma to LA, well, I dont even have a car, the bike is the only way I go.

Your ass gets used to it after awhile.
