Most people in this industry are not so one dimensional that story-of-the-week politics is all they care about. Yet that has been permitted to overwhelm the subject matter of the general forum.

But ... Realistically, Bladewire is right that, with the relentless political posting, it seems like this forum has a bunch of fake nicks or bought nicks or real people who are paid to post politics with no real interaction or conversation.

Unlike a lot of the political posters, Bladewire does sometimes post about other things and has work experience in this industry. I wish he posted politics less and more of what he used to, but [bold]it is very provoking to be constantly slapped with thread titles a person vehemently disagrees with[/bold] and most of the real people on here would post on other topics, if every main page load were not buckets of topics where at least half enrage them.

And the hijacking of non-political threads is definitely half of the problem.

I (and A LOT of other people who work in this industry) would just like to occasionally have conversations which are not basically the same boring non-interactive political shouting over and over again.

I'd be happy if politics was in its own subforum as well, and the board was moderated accordingly. Just remember his agenda isn't just pro Trump, it's also racist, anti LGTB, anti America, anti EU , etc. So he'll continue to work those angles in every non political thread as well, if allowed to.

I have also done a shit ton of business here.

Continuous bullshit political threads that don't relate to adult are driving what's left of the GFY population away, soon you'll be in an echo chamber.

So until someone bloody well moderates this forum, have all the speech you want but expect those threads to be totally fucked up.

Seriously, there are places on the internet intended for this nonsense and it is crazy how much political non-stories have crept into just about every facet of online interaction.

People aren't even discussing policy, so the conversations wouldn't even be useful for a person interested in politics.

"Lately" you don't remember the daily 5 posts a day by Vendildo and the other right wing nuts telling us everything Obama did wrong for 8 years straight?

You have either very Rosey colored glasses or you didn't pay much attention because you were ok with who was doing it then...

Also the OP of this topic was a regular poster of the anti Obama propaganda and only got upset about politics topics when she couldn't whine about Obama anymore.. She was very politically active here on GFY during the Obama years which makes her quite the hypocrite now calling for it to be banned because its not fun for her to play defense...

I normally can't see what that crock-of-not-in-this-industry posts because I have him on ignore, but I voted for Obama and I did not vote for Trump, so either his reading comprehension or his memory are a lil inadequate. We are supposed to have secret ballot in America because that is crucial for long-term freedom, but fake nicks like his constantly assert such nonsense that I feel compelled to share stuff like this. Which is one of the zillion reasons politics should be in its own subforum.

And, yeah, what you said. It is not that I'd super like to see lots of political posts I agree with. I would like to not think about a super annoying industry I am not in when I visit GFY or other non-political sites.

When I got my first adult industry writing gigs for companies like Hustler/LFP, I was living in the DC suburbs. I'm the spawn of an attorney and a diplomat. If I wanted a career in government, I probably could have made that choice and I did not.
