PAYCOM.NET is a fraud!!!

PAYCOM.NET is a fraud. Think 3 times before deciding on going with PAYCOM.NET for credit card processing. This company is one of the new companies that I have discovered that is fraudulently stealing customer?s money. I have a customer come up to me to complain about a 3-day trial the processed. You have heard this before cancel within 3 days and you wont get charged the $39.99 membership fee, Think again even if you cancel your 3 day trial the same day that company will steal $39.95 out of your customers account and deny that your customer ever canceled his or her membership. I decided to try it for myself i signed up for a three-day trial and canceled it the same day. To my dismay they took out not only the $2.99 but also the $39.99 witch over drew my account $42 dollars. Ok now lets do the math for a 3-day trial it cost me over $84.98.

When I confronted them about this they denied I canceled the membership even when I gave them the confirmation number. I called my bank and they said they where 100% responsible for the overdraft fees since it was there mistake that cause the account to be overdrawn. To put the icing on the cake go check out the crappy support your customer gets when they try to cancel a membership. The first thing they don?t have is phone support for your customers you might ask what is the high fees they charge for processing go towards? Another thing when your valued customer tries to cancel his or her membership what are they confronted with "SPAM" how unprofessional

So my lesson to everyone is don?t go with paycom.net for processing if you care about your customers or the value and the quality of your website. Why join a company that is going to be here today gone tomorrow. Go with a web billing company you can trust and that have a good reputation. If your customers are not happy with the experience they got from your website that includes paying for the membership and canceling it, chances are they will never come back and tell there friends not to either.

Consider this,

Just because you only got a trial, Paycom may be verifying that the funds are available by authorizing the full amount. If you cancel it falls of in 10 days like any other pre-authorization and if you don't cancel

THEY KEEP IT.

Very common business practice, but good luck.

When I call the local hotel here to book a room that I have a free coupon for the.......get this................CHARGE MY CARD! I go in, hand them the coupon and unless I trashed the room I get my money back in 10 days when the charge drops. Like I said, Common business practice. Might want to look into it a bit before you try dragging someones name through the dirt.

I'm telling you it isn't uncommon for a company to pre-authorize your card to make sure your broke ass can afford the charge if it does rebill for the full price before they let you in a paysite to leech every bit of porn you can for $3.00. A pre-authorization is not a charge so you might want to verify what you are talking about before you talk shit.

Ok you have once again proved you can't comprehend fucking english.

They fucking tell you they may AUTHORIZE your card for the FULL AMOUNT when you sign up to a TRIAL. It will not be CHARGED if you CANCEL your MEMBERSHIP. Now I know you can't fathom the difference but a pre-authorization still shows as a DEBIT on you bank account. When they charge it all they do is send in a final charge for the amount that was already preauthorized. Being that you canceled you should get your money back 10 days later.

If you don't understand this call your mom. I'm sure she can help you figure it out.

As a paysite owner you should know that you are the customer that every business hates. If you don't believe me fine, call paycom. I explained it above but again I'm telling you that a preauthorization still takes the money out until

a. A final charge is sent
b. 10 - 30 days pass without a final charge being sent.

In case of b. your money is credited back to you.

If you want to be an ass about it all you have to do is get Paycom to fax your bank a note written on their letterhead explaining that they won't send the final charge because you canceled and all the details you used to sign up and your bank can drop it right then. I know this like nearly everyone else with a credit card because I've done it before. Call your bank, call Paycom, but for Christ's sakes listen. I didn't make this shit up to have a 30 minute argument with you.

I really don?t care what you think or what paycom.net thinks is grounds for stealing money and calling someone a liar. They already assumed responsibility and credited my account $39.99 witch makes them liable for the overdraft charges. call your bank numb nuts and ask them who is responsible for fees that where debited due to false charges done by another financial institution.

Of course they credited your account. It's easier than dealing with a whiny ass sissy boy that could do the dreaded chargeback at any time. Just because they credited you money back doesn't mean they did something wrong. It's called GOOD customer service. Good luck getting them to pay your overdraft charges.

It's pretty obvious he doesn't know thing one about customer service. I'd sure as hell credit someone back if they came off like this. I'd also take steps to see that we didn't have to do business again.

I don?t think you where comprehending what I was saying. They told me the reason why they charged my card was because according to their system I did not cancel my 3-day trial within the three-day trial period. I had their email that they sent to me when I canceled my trial. They even denied there own email they sent me saying we would never give you a number like that but they did say the customer number was right. To me they need to reprogram their site so when you manually cancel your membership it works and sends the proper information to the customer. They already admitted fault so I have nothing to worry about im going to get my money back I don?t care how long it takes.

I seriously doubt that paysite owners are going to take advice on whom to process with from someone with less than $40 in thier bank account

I've purchased many, many, many trial memberships through paycom and was never charged for a full membership if I canceled within the trial period.

I don't know anything about the company this guy is talking about (and it looks like most agree that they're good), but everyone is wrong if they think a pre-auth actually takes money OUT of your account.

It will reduce your available balance, but the money is still in your account and that one charge won't cause an overdraft fee. If something ELSE went through while his balance was reduced, that's a possibility, but most banks will refund an overdraft caused by a pre-auth...since the money was still in the account the whole time.

So if this guy claims that he got an overdraft fee, then it wasn't a pre-auth...the company actually TOOK the money.

I thought I was going to have to come in here and make a case but thanks to the great posts here I really don't have to.

I don't know what you got yourself into Javen, but if you want to email me your member ID or Card # I'll look into it for you. I can assure you that all billing practices we have in place are legit, disclosed, legal, and easy to understand to anyone who reads the simple terms on the join form. Epoch has nothing to gain and much to lose by doing anything other than proper billing. End of story.

Lastly, a pre-auth does not remove funds from your account it reserves them so that the conversion is guaranteed in case the trial does not cancel. Chances are you signed up for one site and a cross sell and that's where your charge came from. If there was freak-ass error (which is highly unlikely) we will be happy to make any wrong right. If not however, I would suggest you know WTF you are talking about before starting a thread to slander anyone.



As for our support. It's 24/7/365 with toll free numbers from 8 countries and multi-lingual support and the email receipt you received upon purchase of your trial tells you how to reach us. The fact that I'm answering on a board before 9:00 AM on a Sunday means something don't you think?
