Add to this the number of apps etc that simply stream the audio from youtube and people that stream their songs rather than buy them..

As for non music videos on youtube..
Again I would expect some of the views are fake/paid to get the videos to rank higher in youtue...

They're not necessarily watching the video.

At least it displaced Rude by MAGIC.

I spent the second half of 2014 traveling and would hear both of those songs on the radio at least every 3 songs... no matter what city I was in.

My point is that there are also a shit ton of ways like this where videos get views that we never think of, That said, its highly unlikely that the views are real.
