Dear HonestReporting Member,

American college student Rachel Corrie was tragically killed on Sunday
when she fell down as an IDF bulldozer destroyed a house in Gaza.

The bulldozer was part of an operation to eliminate tunnels used by
Palestinian terrorists to illegally smuggle weapons from Egypt into Gaza.

Corrie apparently stood atop a mound of dirt as the bulldozer approached
the house, but then fell backward, tumbling down the mound and out of
sight. The bulldozer continued and accidentally crushed her.

The IDF Spokesman said that soldiers repeatedly warned demonstrators to
keep a safe distance.

Corrie was a volunteer with the International Solidarity Movement. She was
known for anti-Israel and anti-American activities, as this photo from
Gaza (http://www.honestreporting.com/graph...les/corrie.jpg) shows
Corrie burning an American flag, while Palestinian children look on.

(In general, we wonder on what basis the International Solidarity Movement
justifies shielding a house used for weapons smuggling.)

1) soldiers driving an armored bulldozer have limited visibility because
of the narrow window.

2) One of the ISM founders admits the protesters might not have been as
disciplined in their protest as they should have been.

Most media reports failed to mention that the IDF bulldozer was looking
for smuggling tunnels. Instead, reports described the house
sympathetically as "the home of a Gazan doctor."

And the entire mainstream media neglected to mention Corrie's
anti-American activities and flag-burning.

From the pictures here it sure looks like she knows what she is doing. Maybe she would have been a tad smarter to move about 10 feet to the right or left and keep chanting at the bulldozer. I dont know why anyone would mourn her, she got her wish to die for her cause didnt she?

The pic shows clearly that the driver could see her very well, and that the excuse of " windows too small", "view blocked by the equipment", etc... is good coverup bullshit...

Well actually you do know that bulldozers have these huge fucking metal shovel things on the front?? and when it is raised even a little above ground level you obviously can't see shit unless you have superman eyes..

Basically she was monumentally stupid and paid the ultimate price for that.. its a shame but she should not have been there.. it was interesting to see the US response was something like 'we advised all citizens to leave the west bank & gaza' - they did that for a reason.. its dangerous!

I think maybe if I was the bulldozer operator, that knowing I was in palistinian territory, I would have;
got out of the cab,
looked to see who was standing around the machine,
raised the blade, looked underneath it,
talked very nice to the people around me, explaining how I was just doing my job,
tell them that they should keep clear of the machine,
climbed back up on tracks,
give everyone a friendly wave as I turn to get into the cab again,
got shot in the back as I entered the cab.
