Let me take that last piece of rope...lol
As I said earlier...New Mexico gets a HUGE amount of Fed money for military. But they also get a ton of WELFARE money! Bunch of "right wing" leaches I'll bet. Oh...wait a minute...American Indian tribes live there in poverty. 22 tribal communities living in poverty with a population that makes up over 10% of the New Mexico population. But I guess those heartless Democrat's posting here on GFY just want to starve those native American's whom the federal govt. fucked over in the first place and stuck them on those reservations... Here's the point guys: The bullshit "talking points" put out by BOTH parties are rarely the truth. And you clowns who think you're "morally superior" to other people because you follow the Democrat Party or Republican Party like a sheep...you should open your eyes. |

Then again for your typical postings I suspect your brain stopped growing around the age of 12. That or we should all just feel sorry for you because you suffer from a not so rare disorder known as Internet Tourette Syndrome, most commonly witnessed on Xbox live. Normally only juveniles suffer from it and eventually grow of of it. 12clicks is just a rare example of a adult whom never grew out of this normally juvenile associated disorder. I will put my sad face on for poor little 12clicks.. |

It's easy to say words, but actually standing behind them is another story. When the person saying this always ignores the wrongs and even makes excuses for one party, while constantly attacking the other, the words have very little meaning.

If you actually knew me, you would see how very, very WRONG you are. EDIT: And after re-reading what you just said about me...I realize that you described YOURSELF perfectly. I condemn the Republican party. I condemn the Democrat Party. You on the other hand do nothing BUT make excuses for Dems and CONSTANTLY attack Republicans. The overwhelming majority of my replies to you have been that there is no difference between the two. YOU are the one who keeps insisting that Democrats are "good" and have your best interests at heart. And I'm the one who's telling you that Democrats are exactly like Republicans in that they are interested in nothing but their own power. Both sides do what they do to keep YOU grounded right where you are. So go vote next time and click off Democrat for every election without ever even considering the issues or what these two parties have done to our country. |

I just said clearly: Fuck Republicans. They have been 1/2 of what has put our country in bad shape. As for Democrats? They are the ones in power at the moment. So when I comment on something that the Pres. has done, it doesn't mean that I'm apologizing for the "right". I'm speaking plain English: Both parties are corrupt beyond repair. They BOTH suck. What part of that don't YOU understand? You are such a sheeple for Democrats that you can't differentiate that when a person disagrees with you, it doesn't automatically make them a "rightie". It makes me a person who doesn't follow their party line bullshit. Dude, I think you are just trolling me. There is no way you can be serious. And my personal life DEFINES who I am and what I believe...dumbass. |

See there you go.. I'm a "sheeple for Democrats" but YOU are superior and independent because you randomly say both parties suck. It's very odd because I've said many times that both parties suck, but I guess it's not the same when it's someone else and not you. Meanwhile in one of your last posts.. Someone brought up welfare states. New Mexico came up and the fact it was a red state that takes in more federal subsidies than it produces in tax dollars.. You blamed welfare Indians and Democrats. Not once did you say.. Humm maybe the state isn't managed well.. Nope It's welfare Indians and Democrats end of story, with no proof to back up your claims, just Robbie says so.. Yet you are unbiased and I'm the sheeple. |

crockett...I showed you the FACTS about New Mexico.
Those American Indians live in abject poverty. That is FEDERAL Govt. doing that. They put them on those reservations. Man, you are an uneducated fool. And yes...you are a sheeple. If you think me pointing out a FACT makes me "biased" then you need to reevaluate your line of thinking. You are an extremist and TOTAL sheeple. |

So I wonder, can't these people just leave the reservation, get a job/education and better themselves. I understand it is their land and they have a connection to it, but at some point you have to decide what is best for yourself and your family. The government gave them that land and put into place rules that make living there and thriving very difficult, but they aren't forced to stay there are they? |

kane, I know next to nothing about Native Americans.
The only reason I thought to look up anything about them was when I read that there was a lot of poverty in New Mexico...I remembered driving through that state and seeing lots of tourist traps with "Indians" all dressed up in traditional headgear dancing around. When I looked it up, sure enough they are in poverty. I'm thinking that if you or I asked them: "Hey can't you just move?" We'd probably be doing the same thing as asking black people why they can't "just move out" of the inner city ghettos. I'm gonna have to assume that there is a lot at play there. Culture, their way of life, etc., etc. And the thing I noticed about American Indian poverty is...no matter how much Federal welfare they got, it never helped them. What finally changed their fortunes was when they figured out that they could have casinos and they cashed in. Just my observation...but handing them money as welfare worked about as well as it has for every other group that has been given handouts: it doesn't. But being smart and taking advantage of their situation's strengths VS weaknesses...did. But again, I don't know. Just a thought. I've never been a big proponent of continuous handouts like our society does. But at the same time, when the Federal Govt. itself is responsible (like blacks with slavery & Native Americans having their land stolen)...then it's hard to figure out how to approach it. Apparently crockett's view is that if they live in a "red state" (like the Native Americans in New Mexico), then they are a dirty leech who is taking welfare. But if they live in a "blue" state (like New York or California)...then they are a gentle and noble people who merely need our money to be able to feed the poor children. Seems a bit of a double standard to me. But that's just the way I see it. |

LOL!
Okay, I'll play along with your obvious trolling...how the fuck am I blaming a "Democrat" for what the Federal Govt. did back in the 1800's to the Native Americans? You really are caught up in that shit aren't you? I bet if I told you I liked the hamburgers at In&Out you would tell me I was attacking "a Democrat". Is there anything we can discuss that you don't drag your political party stuff into? EDIT: By the way New Mexico doesn't have "woes". But it has a big native American Indian population who are indeed hurting badly and get a lot of govt. assistance. But in "crockett's world" that doesn't count. You're a real piece of work brother. lol |

Robbie, according to the US census it's roughly 9% of the population in New Mexico that is of "any" type of Indian decent. The population of NM is roughly 120 million as a guess being in 2010 it was 114m and then 117m in 2012. However poverty rate in NM from 2012 was 45.5% meaning roughly 53 million people. If Indians only make up 9% of the entire NM population, that means there are far more non Indians living in poverty than actual Indians. Yet you blame only the Indians.. Meaning obviously it's not just Indians living on reservations that is the problem. If a state has nearly half it's population living in poverty, don't yea think perhaps someone isn't doing a good job? If the US had 45% of it's population living in poverty right now, you wouldn't stop blaming Obama. Just like you blamed him for the higher unemployment rate.. Yet when it's a state somehow it's not the state govt's fault.. it's Indians living in poverty. Come on.. if it's fair to blame Obama for unemployment, why is it not fair to blame the Governor of NM for poverty? I just want to clarify, that I do not think the blame lays solely on the Governor of NM, because I realize that this is not a problem that just pops up the second someone is elected into office. However I am using Vendzilla's and your logic that thinks it's ok to blame the person in office today despite what may of happened yesterday. Expecting a magic fix to problems that were made over years and years. Hopefully this drives through the point, that obviously all problems can not be blamed on the person sitting in office at that time. I'm doubtful though.. |

WHAT THE FUCK crockett???
Seriously? There are NOT 120 million people in fucking New Mexico you dolt! It has 2 million people. If you had ever left your house and stopped watching MSNBC for a minute...you might travel a bit. And if you did you would KNOW that New Mexico is a big empty state. Jesus Christ man. The state of New Mexico has one of the largest populations of Native Americans in the U.S.A. They are in abject poverty. And they don't just get individual checks to each person...they get large amounts of money for their tribes as a whole as well. This has been so for a hundred years or so? I don't even know WHO the governor of New Mexico is...but let me look it up: Looks like a Hispanic Woman who is a Republican. She took office in 2011. (I guess you are against women and hispanics as well as native americans) Before that it was Democrat (and former Clinton cabinet member) Bill Richardson from 2003 to 2011. Do you REALLY think that either of those people have ANY GODDAMNED THING to do with the plight of native Americans? What is wrong with you man? You are either trolling like a madman...or.... Nobody can act this damn dumb unless they are doing it on purpose. Please, just stop with this kind of stupidity. Trolling doesn't add anything to a discussion. |

I said OVER AND OVER AND OVER that the economy collapsed from the housing market collapsing in 2008 which then led to banks faltering and the economy collapsing and unemployment going through the roof. Where do you get this insanity you spout from? Are you really that insecure in your "team"? Do I think that Pres. Obama acted correctly in 2009 and 2010 when he had full power with both the House and Senate? Hell no. Does that have ANYTHING to do with this topic or even the sidetracking that you started about welfare states? Hell no. I will repeat myself one more time for your thick skull to try to absorb: Our federal govt. has been hijacked by Republicans and Democrats. They have been in power for decades. They are not going to "fix" anything. They created these problems. I have no underlying agenda when I showed that you were DEAD WRONG with your stupid picture trying to spread your propaganda about welfare and "red states". I just repeated the debunking and schooling I gave you in an earlier thread...and like a fence post you try to pretend that never happened and you repeat the same WRONG info. People on welfare are all Americans. What they need is a govt. that makes an environment conducive to business coming back and operating here and bringing jobs. You are free to think otherwise and call me names for that...but it doesn't change the facts of what I think. I've been very successful in my life. I don't know you at all. I only see these insanely politically charged posts you make screaming about everything under the sun and making it all about Great Democrats and Evil Republicans. I think I'm gonna go with MY instincts, knowledge, intelligence, and experience over your ranting. ![]() |

However the other numbers are correct. Indian of any decent only make up 10% of NM's population and it's still 45% of the entire population that lives in poverty. Meaning even though yes I'm human and quoted the wrong population number, the basic points of what I was saying is still correct. The simple fact is only 10% of the population is of Indian decent. With a population of 2 million that's only 200k people. Meanwhile even if you say every single Indian of that 10% is living in poverty which is highly unlikely, but still there is a larger number of 35% left over that are not Indian and still live in poverty. Yet once again you ignore that because I made a simple "mistake" and instead of looking at what I was saying you just go off on a rampage saying I never leave my house and I watch MSBNC or what ever the fuck the station is. Humm Robbie, do you happen to know I was just in New Mexico 2 weeks ago? I visited Caralsbad Caverns, Roswell, Albuquerque, Santa fe among others during my week I trolled around the state and I'm in Denver now.. I haven't actually been inside my house since March.. I've been you know traveling around this country that you love to gripe about.. One other thing is also certain I don't watch MSBNC.. However the fact still remains that you will do anything to blame everything on Obama yet when the tables are turned you do everything to make up excuses for the right. You are as bad as Vendzilla you have gone so far to the extreme that you see anyone that disagrees with you as extreme. You ignore any sort of proof that negates what you say and continue on with your bullheaded ideas exactly like Vendzilla does. I used to think you were different, but if you were you no longer are because you do and act just like he does. You never accept any facts or step back from your position because someone showed you that you were wrong. It's just off to the next big thing.. It's just like the other topic with Global warming where you kept repeating the same lie, so I showed you proof you were wrong then 2 pages later you repeated the same lie. You ignore anything that disproves what you are saying then go back and repeat it again as if you were always right. |

So it's only religious nuttery if it's in the context of winning an election?
What about stuff like this: "It was on those streets, in those neighborhoods, that I first heard God's spirit beckon me. It was there that I felt called to a higher purpose -- His purpose." - Barack Obama The guy is hearing ghosts in his head and claims to be working for god's purpose. Sounds pretty nutty to me. |

Again...crockett I am not making any "excuses" for the right.
How the hell do you come to that conclusion? I haven't mentioned Pres. Obama until I finally took your bait and told you that I did not blame him for high unemployment. I have repeatedly said over and over and over that the plight of Native Americans in New Mexico has nothing to do with the direct actions of any current office-holder and everything to do with the atrocities that your beloved Federal Govt. rained down on native Americans 150 years ago. As for the general population of New Mexico...no, they aren't getting welfare checks. They do however have 507,000 people on Medicaid (compared to 5 million in New York). They actually have 49,000 people getting welfare checks in New Mexico. Far too many. But those are the numbers. These numbers were all racked up by a Democrat Governor by the way. Bill Richardson. And a totally Democrat controlled state house and senate. I do NOT blame that governor. You apparently do. And if you read a bit, you will find out that "yes" that 10% of American Indians being in real poverty does indeed move the dial on New Mexico's overall average. That's how averages work Crockett. You could have 100 people. 30 of them make 100,000 , 30 of them make 50,000 , 30 of them make 25,000, and 10 of them make nothing. It averages out to 52,500 Those aren't actual numbers and the percentages are off too...(more people in our country make NOTHING than just 10% because they live off of local, state, and federal govt) But I'm just reminding you how an "average" works. I'll say it once again for your obssession: I do not blame Obama, I do not blame Bill Richardson, I do not blame the current female Hispanic governor of New Mexico. I blame the entire SYSTEM that ignores the people and is used by lifetime/career politicians. Fuck the Republicans. And Fuck the Democrats. Now that I have for the umpteenth time in the discussion very plainly told you this...I suppose you will once again tell me that I am attacking Obama and making apologies for Republicans. ![]() |

It's simple Robbie.. every time it;s anything about Obama or liberals.. you nit pick it to death to figure out a way that it's their fault. Meanwhile when counter argument are made that show the other side of the fence does the exact same thing, you always ignore it or say it doesn't matter because they aren't in power or blahh blahh blahh.. It's just like the NM example. If it were 45% of Americans living in poverty, you would blame Obama. Meanwhile you blame Indians living on reservations for the fact NM has a 45% poverty rate, even though I've shown you that the larger number of people in NM are not Indians living on reservations. I then went on to say that if a state has 45% poverty rate, don't yea think they are doing something wrong? Yet once again you go back to tell me how dumb I am and it's Indians stupid.. So you wonder why I look at you as Right wing apologist? The simple fact is I drove around a lot of New Mexico and yes I made a mistake about the population numbers.. my bad.. However while I did see some Indians living in crappy conditions, I also saw a lot of white people as well as hispanics living in crappy conditions. You know what else I saw? Nearly no jobs. Texas next door was like a boom town almost all over the state. Colorado, what I've seen of it so far is much the same.. Lots of building and you open up craigs list and there are lots of jobs. Not min wage jobs like I saw in NM but jobs that pay at the very least a livable income. Now that to me tells me NM is doing something wrong. Santa Fe was awesome.. Nice smaller to mid size city with mountains next door, but next to no jobs. Albuquerque didn't look bad but it did show signs of homelessness & closed up shops in certain areas.. Still if you don''t mind that the cops might shoot you it didn't seem like a bad place. Still next to no decent jobs. What this shows me is despite NM not being a bad place to live due to the scenery and so forth.. the state govt has not been able to deliver jobs or grow their population or economy despite having several military bases and research labs that add a good kick to the state's economy. This tells me once again they are doing something wrong and it's not the fact they have Indians living on reservations.. |

Pres. Obama was never the subject of this thread. It was about Eric Cantor. I applauded that he is gone. You then attacked me out of nowhere and since then have repeated over and over that I am "defending" Republicans and "attacking" Pres. Obama. I DARE you to find me doing that anywhere in this thread. Go ahead...quote me. And now...let me correct you (again). New Mexico does NOT have a 45% poverty rate. I don't know where you keep coming up with these numbers. They are the second poorest state in the nation. In 2011 the numbers showed that they had a 16.6 percent poverty rate. You need to calm down, use google, and stop putting out your misinformation and inflammatory language. You are trolling, and telling falsehoods. I have thought that you are a Democrat Party sheep for a long time. But I never figured you to be a childish troll. I have (in the past) enjoyed debating with you. But now...something's different on your end. This is the second time you've posted completely false numbers. You have over and over said I'm attacking Obama and defending Republicans when I have done neither thing at all in this thread. Yes, if it's a thread about Obama fucking up...I'm there. In a thread the other day about Sarah Palin...I stated very clearly that she is a nut job and that I saw the vid on Bill Maher of her speaking in tongues at church and knew immediately what a wacko she is. So I'll say it ONE MORE TIME (how many times have I done this already in this thread?)... I HATE the fucking Republican Party. They suck. They are thieves, they are lifetime politicians and parasites. Now, the part that makes your head spin: I HATE the fucking Democrats for the exact same reasons. Now...can we please go back to the thread again? You've turned this into a trolling sideshow. I am glad Eric Cantor got primaried. Not for any particular reason other than I am for "one and done" term limits to get rid of all career politicians in Washington D.C. (I know, now you're going to tell me that statement is defending Republicans and attacking Obama ![]() |

However it's OK for you guys to say things like Obama used the IRS to target Tea Party groups.. despite that it's been proven wrong.. It's ok to say the Obamacare is a job killer even though it's created over a million new jobs in the healthcare industry and who knows how many in the insurance industry. It was ok to spread false rumors of death panels and Obamacare. It's ok to keep claiming that Bengazi was a cover up even though all reports on the matter have shown other wise even a Republican led investigation. It's ok to keep claiming man has no effect on global warming even though pretty much every scientist claims other wise. The list could go on and on, about all the things the right wing uses false facts or cherry picked data, much of which you get right behind and join in with the battle calls and that's ok.. You still don't understand why I give you guys hell? I don't even really care about Obama. He has done things I agree with and done things I disagree with. I'm a big boy and can figure out which ones I agree with and which I don't. However I'm sick of seeing the right wing trying to dumb down this nation and constantly making everything a left or right argument. Global Warming is not a left vs Right argument. Gun violence is not a right vs left argument. Healthcare is not a right vs left argument. Education is not a right vs left argument.. Each of these effect us all, but the Right wing pundits sure as hell have made them Right vs Left.. |

Your "Facts" in this thread are 100% wrong.
You JUST said that 45% of people in New Mexico are in poverty. I showed you that was false. The number is 16%. I'm going to stick with what we are discussing. Not your insane fantasies of what you THINK other people say or have thoughts on. Bottom line is you have revealed yourself in this thread to be a spreader of lies and misinformation and an extremist in every way for the Democrat Party. I see nothing that you have posted in this thread of any value to anyone. Total waste. |

Looks like McCarthy, republican from california, set to replace Cantor as #2 in house leadership.
So tea party beat Cantor, who is now getting replaced by a more liberal congressman in house leadership. Oops

McCarthy may want it, but he won't get it. Look at Pete Sessions or Jeb Hensarling from Texas, to get the spot.

The big battle is for Speaker. And its possible that Hensarling and Sessions are holding out to oust Boehner instead.
