I ask this out of pure curiosity because I don't know a whole lot about the subject. Recently I watched show with Morgan Spurlock where he spent 30 days on an Indian reservation and sure enough, many of those people live in terrible conditions and abject poverty. Some of them that have lots of casinos are a little better off, but as with anything like that there is still a big separation of wealth.
So I wonder, can't these people just leave the reservation, get a job/education and better themselves. I understand it is their land and they have a connection to it, but at some point you have to decide what is best for yourself and your family. The government gave them that land and put into place rules that make living there and thriving very difficult, but they aren't forced to stay there are they?
