Nope:

"Prowler has a 3.5 liter high-output SOHC 24-valve aluminum V6 - and for a lot of sound reasons: Packaging of people and roadability being the main ones.

But this free-revving 60-degree design cranks out enough suds (253 horsepower at 6,400 rpm) and yank (255 pound-feet of torque at 3,950 RPM) to get anybody's attention. It has an aluminum block with a forged steel crank bedded in the four main bearings. The heads and pistons are aluminum. It's been dressed-up, and heated-up slightly -- a less restrictive air cleaner, cast stainless steel exhaust manifolds that make tube-type headers look primitive, and EFI linear cam throttle body for surprisingly quick, crisp response"

I took those off. And had that removed.

Also did a few things (exhaust and intake and computer chip manipulation).

So yeah...I went 150 in it. (The U.S. is the only place that was done...guys with Canadian Prowlers bought their Prowlers with no speed throttle and always were able to do 150).

And if you notice what I said...I said my Prowler beat the Viper REDLIGHT TO REDLIGHT.
It was basically a city block. I also specifically said that if we had went any further it would have eaten me up.

When I said it "hauls ass", that's what I meant. Not that it's a fucking race car! LOL!

It's quick off the line and feels great driving. The engine is light, the car is light, it's weight distribution is great.

The problem with real speed is that it's not aerodynamic at all.
But it's not designed for that anyway.

I know some guys with Paxton superchargers and some with nitrous on their Prowlers too. But I think that's just being crazy because as I said the car isn't aerodynamic and isn't made for street racing.

It's just a lot of fun.

For instance: I had a 2007 corvette (sold it a couple of years ago).
I could do 150 mph in that and not feel a thing.

When I did 150 in my Prowler? It was scary as shit! lol

I also had a 1973 MG Midget that had a tiny little 1275 cc motor in it.
BUT... I put a 1.75" SU Carb, a hot electronic ignition, headers, and a supercharger on it.
I got that little beast up real fast. I don't know how fast because the speedometer stopped at 120.

I'm guessing I was doing around 125 mph.

And THAT was definitely "hauling ass". lol
It was exciting and you could feel every bit of the road in that little car sitting a couple of inches off the ground.

That's the kind of thing I was talking about when I said the Prowler "hauls ass".
Trust me, it feels plenty fast when you want to go fast...and it always is fun to drive.
What did you do to the car to overcome it shaking at speeds over 130 miles per hour...or did changing the tires out stop it from shaking?

A bunch of people over at ProwlerOnline have manufactured different parts for The Prowler.

I have quite a few of the ingenuous things they've made.

One of them is the "WonderBar" that replaces the factory stabilizer bar.

Plus I've only had the car at speeds over a 100 a couple of times ever.
1. I don't want to get a ticket.

2. I mostly just drive it in town (it's too small for comfort on a long trip on the highway).

Even though I have been up to 160 on a highway...our highways in general are not made for those kinds of speed so I normally like to stay well under a 100...plus I too prefer to avoid getting a ticket.

So how did you get it up to 150 when its governed at 126? Oh and a stabilizer bar only helps around corners...not for anything high speed related or shaking.

What are you laughing about?

I already posted that I had that fixed (it's in the chip).

I also explained that it only had that governor installed in the U.S. because the run flat tires were only rated for a certain speed.

Folks who bought their Prowler in Canada, for instance, were able to do that fast right off the dealership floor.

What's the deal Phil? If you don't like the Prowler, then don't like it. No need to try and call me a liar. I have no reason to lie on a fucking message board for God's sake. lol

Thanks for trying to tell me things about a car that I've owned for over 12 years. I know what I'm talking about on this car.

Depends on the state you live in; exhibition of speed does not require you to violate any speed limits.
