CANOGA PARK, Calif. — The Free Speech Coalition/PASS was informed by one of its doctors that another performer has tested positive for HIV.

As a result of this news, FSC is calling a moratorium on all production until further notice.

Today's announcement follows a tough summer for the filmmaking community in Porn Valley. After syphilis and hepatitis C scares, HIV became the top news of the day.

On Aug. 22, porn actress Cameron Bay announced via the FSC that she had been infected with HIV. After Bay tested positive, production was shut down for about a week.

Later, Rod Daily announced via social media that he has contracted HIV, making him the second adult film actor to announce a diagnosis with the disease in recent weeks.

Daily made his HIV status public via Twitter, declaring: "Drumroll please!! I'm 32 years old and I'm HIV positive. Acute HIV, which means I recently was infected. For that I am blessed."

The X-Biz article certainly seems to indicate this is a possible 3rd HIV+ case. Besides, the FSC just shrugged when Rod Daily's test came back positive, as if it wasn't their problem, since he did not test at the facility which they have a financial interest in.

Both AVN and X-Biz have done a deplorable job covering this issue, and getting to the bottom of things (too worried about ad revenue from the people represented on the FSC Board?).

This is bad. But what I find interesting most of all, is usually when shit breaks out like this all of the agent (LATATA) usually know who, what when where well before it gets released. So as to generate the quarantine list. as of now, nobody knows shit!

And if we found out in fact who it is,(and we always seem to find out), and make it public, Weinstein will have the amo to shut down the testing spot for HIPPA violations in regard to patient Dr. confidentiality.

the agencies keep very good track of who does what with who, and when. the agencies also have permission to get test results. if the agencies are surprised, chances are it's a new model, first test. this has happened before in fact... with much the same hysterics and drama....

in fact rumors are pointing to a specific model from a specific 'representative' how-fucking-ever these are early rumors AND not substantiated... as Mr. Watson clearly points out.... just rumors...

Dear FSC/PASS member,

Today, FSC/PASS was informed by one of the doctors affiliated with one of the PASS provider testing facilities that another performer has tested positive for HIV. As a result of this news, FSC is calling a moratorium on all production until further notice.

The criteria for the moratorium are established by the doctors on the medical advisory council which includes Dr. Sean Darcy and Dr. Peter Miao. The doctors are working in concert to do the research and create an accurate 1st and 2nd generational genealogy. They are also ensuring that the performer receives referrals, medical counsel and top quality care.

While we don't have evidence to suggest an on-set transmission as opposed to a transmission from non-industry (off-camera) related activity, we are taking every measure to determine the source and to protect the performer pool. The cost of retests required for generational partners will be covered by FSC/PASS.

It should be noted that the last moratorium was lifted contingent on mandatory retesting after August 19th which exceeded the window period recommended by the PASS medical advisory council.

Dr. Darcy stated, "Because of these precautionary steps, the performer who has now tested positive for HIV had not performed since BEFORE the first moratorium and was prevented from performing due to the required retest. Therefore, no performers were exposed to a new risk of on-set transmission as a result of this latest case, or Ms. Bay's infection."

Kind of begs the question, if the FSC knows she is brand new, and tested HIV+, but has not worked with anyone else in the industry yet, then why call a moratorium?

The doctor affirms she's performed before but not since the moratorium. So whomever she worked if they've tried to work since the moratorium have been tested. What's the longest latency period from infection to showing up as positive on the HIV tests the adult industry uses?

I get it. My post was more me thinking out loud (with my conspiracy theory hat on) wondering if that is what they always try to go with in hopes that people (and the media) don't run too far with it.
