I was under the impression that Brock was killed off camera agter Andrea?

when Jessie is freaking out over Andrea the bikie tells him to calm down and that there is still the kid. But when Todd is looking in the house he can't be seen?

And no more talking about Jane, that seriously shattered me irl. Hated that show for a while after that... Fuck you Walt!!!

Why should kid be seen? He was inside his room (most likely) or playing video games or sleeping. And he is left for leverage over Jesse. Makes sense.

Jesse kills Walter and then kills Skylar and his daughter. Not very positive I know. I just can't see this turning out in Walter White's favor. Since mentioning to Jesse he watched Jane die and did nothing to save her. Flynn and Marie are the only ones left at the end of this violent ride.

It wasn't safe...it just made sense for the characters. Walt had no reason to kill Jesse at that point(or the desire) -- and Jesse didn't want to do Walt's dirty work anymore. Makes sense.

Here's something that's nagging at me -- but didn't ruin my enjoyment of what I thought was a perfect ending....

Can a 7.62 round make it through a car's quarterpanel, then through a wall(stone or wood?) and still have the penetration power to rip through human bodies? I know the 7.62 has lot mopre penetration than a 5.56, but that seems unrealistic.

It's more realistic than having a manhunt for Walt and a 24/7 stakeout of Skyler's place as Walt easily walks in for a chat before loitering outside to see Jr one last time. Between that scene and last week having Todd and crew go into Holly's bedroom, it appears New Mexico police simply do not watch the back door of any property.

I'm sure Mythbusters will eventually test the ammo penetration values from that scene for you ;)

In reality a 7.62 can easily do that. I used to shoot an Ak-47 out in the Socal desert at car wrecks left out there for plinking. That round goes through an engine block like butter. Every time you see guys hiding behind oil barrels, car doors, etc in the movies it is complete bullshit that those would offer any protection whatsoever.

If anything, it was unrealistic because it would have knocked down that cinder block wall.

You have to remember that just prior to Walt's little chat with Skyler that her sister was on the phone explaining to her that the police were receiving many many phone calls with sightings of Walt all over town and even threats of him blowing things up...she said that the police were being "stretched pretty thin"...clearly, this was done by Walt as a plan to allow him to move about with more ease.

Having an unmarked car watching Skyler's house with 2 officers would be reasonable. I see no problem with this plot detail. You also have to remember that at least 2 months had past since the nationwide manhunt as Walt was in hiding and no one had spotted him in all that time.

I used to own a Chinese AK with a 100 round drum mag (not full auto, but firing as fast as I could pull the trigger) and it was insane how much damage that size round can do - especially when you factor in the vibrations and effects on trajectory caused by the obstacles. Cinder block wall would essentially be pulverized into cinder dust. The full metal jacket 7.62 is often referred to as the "armor piercing" round if I remember correctly.

Makes sense in the context that Walt decided to "redeem" himself, which frankly I thought was the safe, and most boring, way to go.

I was under the impression that they were going for a Scarface kind of end-run, with Walter truly embracing Heisengberg.

Hell they even had Jesse kill Todd so that he could avenge the little kid and his ex-girlfriend. Bad guys lose, catharsis for everyone!

I understand why they went with that kind of ending instead of some Red Wedding kind of tragedy. It's an easy sell, keeps most people happy.

That don't mean I gotta like it
