Seo discussion sub forum?

One of core thing what webmasters need to handle is it's seo tasks,so i was wondering would be there sense to open sub forum regarding seo topics.This current section serve the purpose but as this section moves fast good seo threads tend to be buried fast.And there is nothing more important in modus operandi of webmaster then doing seo so i would say it deserve it's special section.Since traffic is a king,content and programs can be always changed.
So any thoughts about this?

I'd like a separate section for SEO although I don't know if anyone would use it. I barely visit other sections except buy and sell.

you know what. look at the thread views. its hundreds of people, who looks, but will never share. and if you share, you get almost nothing in return, just see you knowhow shared and used by tons of people so you get only bigger competition sharing anything that makes money here is waste of it

Yes i know there are many assholes and leechers,but never the less i dont mind sharing things what i know.

yes it is nice to share, but one day you will see all those who never said thanks getting your serps, and there the nice things ends

The irony is,that actually happen rarely,as majority of people are so lazy they couldn't replicate your technique even if you draw it on paper.Beside you cant know if someone suddenly appear on your serps is that because you posted somewhere about it or it's unrelated event.

So you guys should just start a good thread about it in the main section, without the sub forum.

Well that is a joy of seo- you cannot know does someone telling you right thing or he is bullshitting as rules changes every day.That is reason why i tell people how i am not seo expert,how i am seo speculator instead Still,such section is required not just for strategy discussion,also needed for monitoring algorithm and other changes.

Just another place for people to spam. wouldn't be a bad idea to just add in ALL threads and you can filter them out as needed, but I would never check the sub forums

I see you point how people wouldn't not check it,after all i myself mostly don't check other section as well(except lately for some reason i developed habit to check everything) but i dont see how people will spam it.

I think its a good idea. SEO is an important element for all webmasters and online businesses alike and as its something pretty specific, makes probably sense to have a sub forum.

About a year ago a guy opened a storefront SEO consulting company in our small town (pop. 51,000). Big, slick grandiose signage on the front of the building. It stuck out like a sore thumb downtown amongst the pizza joints, pawn shops and other junky retail stores.

I was tempted to wander in and see what services and price range the guy had...but never got around to it.

He closed up shop just 8 months after he opened.

It would've been interesting to find out why he closed. Did his services suck? Overpriced himself? Not enough population or interest to keep the business afloat?

If you had a way to add recent threads in a "feed" on the main forum (which is this) it would probably help. I myself rarely browse the other forums, if at all, so having some updates, new threads, etc. would increase the likelihood of people interacting.

At the same time, breaking up things into sub forums or categories would be great, just need a few "interns" to moderate it when you guys are offline
