SInce you mentioned now real world,it just show how absurd are those people saying how there is no point to waste time with small amounts.Since i real world,if you owe just one penny to let say your electricity company,or internet company,or telephone company, you can bet they will send collecting agency after you and in the end you gonna pay much more then what you actually owed.
I even had such experience-for a debt of 50$ i ended paying 300$.

Agree, in "the real world" I have received checks for ten cents before.

When you owe, you owe. That is all there is to it.

The principle of paying what you owe far outweighs the principle of minimum payouts. One is a matter of ethics and the other a matter of administrative convenience.

Programs could literally use terminating accounts and not paying as a way to collect thousands per year.

My contention isn't that he shouldn't have been paid when he closed the account, but that the way he handled it would make me feel fine about him forfeiting any right to the money now, as compensation for being an asshat.

I normally am 100% inline with you on things, but this I do not agree with at all.. You owe someone money be it $1 or $1,000. Pay up.

There is the taint of bro-ism weaving its slippery stink through this thread like a fart in a crowded elevator that won't stop for the next twenty floors.

The OP made it clear he tried to deal with this before coming to the boards. The amount of money is not relevant. You guys are defending the right to keep money that someone else earned and should be paid. Would you feel the same if you were in his shoes?

If you are going to retain or charge funds accrued for any reason upon termination of an affiliate relationship then there is a fiduciary responsibility to be up front about that.

What do you think a large mainstream company would do such as Google or Amazon if the minimum payouts weren't met and somebody asked to close the account? That's all I could think of, but their minimum payouts are really low.

He called FW Scammers in the title of this thread. A scammer is someone who sets up a scam from the outset to steal money from someone. FW has terms and conditions that are nearly identical to every other program out there, yes I agree FW should have paid him rather than let this thread carry on... But honestly I would probably not pay the fuckwad who post an outrageous, damaging and false label about my company either.

Fuck em FW - I say dont pay him unless he creates a retraction thread apologizing for the libelous scammer thread.

Why does everyone simply assume that hes accurate when he says he had contacted us for a year before this. Why dont you try our support sometime.

He was at 68$ and even says he had active rebills and some links up sooooo if i were in his shoes i would have met the minimum i had selected on signup to then been paid wo/ incident. end of story.

or he can come here and make a falsely titled thread (so much so the admins had to change it) with false statements like we dont anwser support to drum up drama and force us into paying immediately.

You spent well over a year chasing $68?? Crazy. Well knowing that when you signed up, it said that payments below $100 aren't being made.

You need to spend your time on something more productive imo.

But you got paid in the end. Hope it was worth it

It's the principle imo, it doesn't matter if it's $1 or $99. Fact is he should have been paid when he first requested to close his account.

LOL. Only on GFY would people think that writing some emails to support every few months over the course of a year EQUALS Working around the clock 24/7 feverishly trying to collect $68

Dude...come on. I'm sure the guy works everyday and didn't have to strain to hard to spend a minute to write an email every couple of months or so.

Bottom line is: If a program owes money...they should pay it.
And in these days of low sales for so many affiliates, the "minimum payout" needs to come DOWN to reflect the reality of the industry.

It isn't a false title thread at all imo. He has a right to call you scammers if you are keeping his cash.

We obviously have a different point of view of what "minimum payout" clauses represent in Terms and Conditions.

Minimum payout clauses are there to prevent company book keepers from having to deal with thousands of tiny sums and to set a bar of participation on the part of the affiliate. In essence, a "Minimum Payout" is set so you know the affiliate is sending legit joins and not just wasting time and resources.

Minimum payouts clauses do not address final payments or terminations with unpaid balances.

If you are going to penalize someone for leaving then you have to spell that out clearly and the majority of programs that all copy each other's T&Cs seem completely oblivious to this fact; then, they compound the problem by assuming that a minimum payout means you don't have to pay if the minimum is not reached, but that is not true. Don't listen to me, ask any attorney worth his salt.

Say your minimum is $200, but the affiliate only sent $175 worth of joins. The sales tracking clearly shows that the affiliate earned that cash. You can't keep that unless you spell out clearly why you would keep it and under what conditions you would be allowed. Just having a "Minimum Payout requirement" does not even come close to permitting keeping funds the affiliate generated.

I am not saying you guys are scammers, but I am saying he had a right to call you scammers legitimately. You kept the money he earned, which your own tracking showed you he earned and was owed. You incorrectly assumed that a "minimum payout" clause in your T&C gave you the right to keep his cash on termination of the account. Change the wording in your T&C and then you can do whatever you want.

In any other industry, it actually would be considered fraudulent conveyance. Sorry, I am really not trying to be obtuse and grind you guys but seriously hoping to help avoid this sort of confusion in the future.

You might want to read the thread because since you didn't read everything you just falsely accused the OP of making a false claim.

This thread has to be one of the weirdest I have ever witnessed in a decade of GFY.

Affiliates are literally defending a program's right to burn affiliates for money the affiliate earned without any reason or cause beyond a very vague interpretation of a term and condition that affiliates hate on principle.

That is completely counter-intuitive and that makes my scorpio senses tingle...

This is why my own program is invite only. I can't be assed to deal with fucking idiots that most affiliates are, who don't have 2 cents to rub together but think everyone owes them the world.

This fucking guy here sent a total of 3 sales to the program, but managed to shit all over it.

OP said
"For few months now I was trying to contact them via
Email: [email protected]

Today finally I've managed to contact them via ICQ and that is the copy of the conversation:"

this insinuates that they are non responsive...but , then he pasted his icq history and was clearly showing they were in contact with him on icq regularly so i find it hard to believe that they never answered emails and also odd it took him 1yr to go from email to icqing them if in fact he did not get any email reply.

also, why is it so strange and not so subtly hinted to be a bro conspiracy for people to support a company with a good track record when one person comes to a board posting a clearly inflammatory thread thats so inaccurate his peers call him out and the admin changes the topic.

i can tell you why ,be cause a hoard of unhappy bitter affiliates love to blame someone and the program is always a good scapegoat ... especially where there are programs like that openly scam BUT keep in mind NOT all programs are like those.

either way sorry you don't like the minimum payout rule but we have
it in place for a couple reasons one of which is to prevent real scammers which you have no idea how many fraudsters and scammers we have to deal with when running a program.

Please take note that I would be far more inclined to help you had your post not been so full of BS, so as I see it you two options

1. continue to complain and make inaccurate PUBLIC claims that we are scammers because you have not met the minimum payout which has been in effect since you signed up that you cant get support etc..

2. what seems more logical and easy from the start would be to send another sale or two to meet the minimum , then you will be paid like always before and then stop sending us traffic with no false board drama and smearing our name for no real reason.

good day sir.
I have closed out COUNTLESS affiliate accounts and have NEVER had one refuse to close my account and hold my funds.

You suck and so does your program.
