My server is down.

I put in a high priority support ticket 30 minutes ago.

No response from Amerinoc, other then the instant automated response.

Have you replied to your ticket asking what is taking so long? I submitted a ticket around an hour and a half ago (low level) and the issue was fixed in 30 mins

Definately.

I've been with Amerinoc for years.

About an hour after the ticket I got a response from "Zachary"

I pay for daily backups, the whole deal.

I'm not even going into what I was told right now. My sites are all still not working, though I was told in the ticket they are and to contact them with any problems.

Of course I've contacted them, and now it's a petty back and forth of everything that's not working now. They evidentely didn't check when they told me everything was working.

WTF!?!

It's to late for this bullshit and I'm getting inundated with emails from paying members and random surfers i mean really????

Looking like a MYSQL issue here too possibly. But their reply is everything is fine. They say that without checking, or knowing, that everything is NOT fine, and me having to respond back that not everything is working FUCK. To late for this shit I'm tired as fuck tonight dammit!!

Not sure what has gone on at Amerinoc but their service has slipped drastically over the past couple of years for sure!

Drastically slower responses to the tickets and really poor replies with no sense of urgency and a severe lack of keeping their clients informed.

Send a ticket saying one of your servers is down and you are likely to get a response like 'please check now'. I have had better from them and I still expect that.

As it happens I'm looking at moving away from them. I have a load of sites/servers there.

1 - they are paid to do so (or got some deal/discount to praise them on GFY)
2 - they haven't tried a better one so this one looks "good" in their eyes..

This is interesting as I have had a routing problem with a few of my Amerinoc sites since the July 4th weekend. I can only see them via a USA IP VPN and others are saying they are up or down all the time.

I can do a traceroute and see the issue is not on their network but rather a peering issue but it is maddening and we are having a lot of trouble working on sites for the last 10 days or so.

Wow! You know the past few months I've had issues with my servers lagging on initial load to the sites. Other times I've accessed the sites they've seemed to be down, I contact support and they say the sites are up for them! Then they tell me to do a trace route. I access the sites through Anonymouse.org, and the sites come up! then a bit later they work from home.

I live 70 miles from San Diego, but I work in San Diego a lot. I'm wondering if they've changed location?

I guess its the hazzard of being at a low priced host, i used to be at Servage.net for over 7 years and got fucked in the end. Then i switched to Webair and got a sweet deal on a vps even with upgradet ram (3 gb) it is much cheaper than what others advertise, also if you need help they do not take long before your problem is solved.

Something is off here... first you warn that 'low priced' hosts are a hazard, then you advertise for webair, noting their 'good deals' and are 'much cheaper'...

I'll tell you what OP... go look at http://limestonenetworks.com, our dedi provider. Their list prices aren't exactly the cheapest you can find, but they give competitive discounts and have been worth every penny we've paid them since 2009.. Also, note that while their main page advertises "unmanaged dedicated servers", they do offer different levels of management

And believe you me, we've been around the block and back again with dedi hosts over the years...

Because webmasters here are sharks and put affiliate code at the end of their links recommending them. Because Amerinoc employees spam in here whenever a thread includes the title 'webhosting'.

All I know is that most webhosts promise, and generally deliver, 99.99% uptime. Over the last 3 months I've been lucky if I've gotten more than 60% uptime with Amerinoc. It's probably cost me at least $5 - 10k thus far.

Its unusual that they have not posted in here as well... normally they would post something to quell concern. I've always know them to be very solid and reliable so who knows the real issue. Maybe they hired some new employee that isnt working out or something (lax followup) who knows. Why dont you guys pick up the phone and call them? I know they are my competitor and all but coming from years of knowing them, I bet there is a solid reason for the current delays. Just sayin'

I rent a VPS from them and it is cheaper than most of other companies, BUT the support is 100% good never had any of my domains offline and if i had problems that i even created myself they have fixed it for me free of charge! Not many host companies do that for their customers. When i was looking for hosting myself i checked out Amerinoc and after i talked to their sales rep i was not satisfied with what they had to offer so i went with Webair and
i never have i regret that.

I've been with Amerinoc for years as well and I've been extremely satisfied with their service. I've highly recommended them here on GFY many times over the years.

It's not fair for me to throw away years of great service, for one middle of the night episode of poor service. It was a long day for me late at night and I was tired as hell after being woken up about the sever being down. I could have been less of a jerk & not vented on GFY of all places

Looking through my support tickets I see that my server is crashing about once a month that I know of. It's frustrating that as far as I know, whatever the problem is, it's not being being proactively fixed to avoid future occurrences.

I sent an email to them via their contact form about 40 hours ago regarding the support issue and haven't heard anything back yet.

I have not noticed amerinoc support dropping. I have been with them for years and they have always been awesome. Certainly this issue is something they need to address to avoid similar issues in the future. But in my experience they are as good as the other top hosts.
