Should that not deter him enough and he presents a clear and present danger to my family, and the use of deadly force is authorized to stop him/her, I will not hesitate for a second to send him home to whatever God he prays to in situations like that.

So, if you can answer a question, and it makes sense and doesn't get me killed, I will get rid of my gun.

What would you do if your home was invaded by gun wielding gang bangers, your wife is asleep, you see them coming with their arms up your stairs, and there is no where to escape to? What do you do in the next 2-5 seconds to save your life?

I feel sorry for you you have to live your life like that.

I'm glad that i don't live in a country where both my neighbours most likely have guns. That would worry me way more than a burglar who most likely will never ever enter my house.

I truly hope one day you can live without fear. Maybe you need to move out of your retarded 3rd world country.

I agree with everything you said except letting them hear you rack the Mossberg. To me this is giving away a big tactical advantage. A SWAT guy I went through training with was really anti shotgun for home defense unless you were going to keep a round chambered.

Its also nice to see you share the "only when a life is threatened" motto for drawing a weapon. Too many people that own guns have the rambo mentality and are looking for an excuse to draw. If I came home and somebody was stealing my TV i would help them load the fucker in their car and get a new/better one from my insurance company.

i just wouldn't be happy if i always was worried about someone breaking in to my place. i don't live in a wealthy area, average household income is something like 100-130k. there are times when i thought having a gun might be a good idea but then i think my mind will always be going to that gun whenever there is something amiss when 9 times out of 10 its nothing. i just can't see myself living in that mindset.
