jeez. also all these gluten allergies we are seeing, U believe are caused by genetically enginered wheat. First it was hipsters eating gluten free to be cool & different, and then some of my friends who are pro fighters started getting weird stomach problems. Yup.. Gluten.
Strange things are happening to our food. It runs me around 550 a month to eat real food & not processed crap.

Easy for you to say when you live in Canada, where there are VERY strict regulations within the food industry. Aluminum can lining for example.

US favors the manufacturers when it comes to labeling. If there is less than X% on some ingredients they just don't have to list it.

If you go buy corn, you have no clue if it's GM or not. The only one you can be assured in is Wal-Mart because they publicly came out saying they would only carry GM corn. I use a produce co-op, about as fresh as I can get in AZ and I still have no guarantee the corn on the cob I get is not GM. I always donate it.

Why did they do that? makes no sense to hurt yourself like that. I mean even if you sell only GM corn you don't go shouting about that like its a good thing. Seriously why did they say that?

No clue ... but people don't care to read, they only see the price and how much cheaper it is than "organic."

I posted on every FB page that Wal-Mart had about it. I translated it for the Wal-Mart Mexico page, was deleted in five seconds.

Sorry, I re-read that article and I was wrong, I could have sworn I saw an article somewhere that it said only GM corn.

However, it doesn't say it will be labeled. So either way, they could sell only that corn and we'd never know.

Well it certainly does not surprise me, but that doesn't mean it's not a worthy topic. Plenty of people still have no idea what this is all about.

Monsanto lobbied the government to ban "rBGH free" labeling on milk. I think only a few states have sided with consumers and allow the labels.

what is the benefit of killing your customers again? wait there isn't any.. right.. Especially when you can make more selling healthy products. The US started using gmo to help counteract things like droughts and food shortages, its the single reason your population is as big as it is today. Are you guys against water purification too? how about air conditioning? We may as well go after everything involving civilization.

ps only reason i don't eat gluten or corn is because they make you fat ;)

no the government subscribes to old garb magazine. They are the same people who say eating saturated fats cause obesity, high cholesterol and heart disease.. which they do ONLY if your diet is made up of mostly sugars..

If you want to go after someone for poisoning people go after the sugar manufacturers, they kill far more people than gmo foods ever will.

What are the animals fed on?

If you think it's only stuff that comes out of a can or jar, you're fooling your self.

Go eat beef, porn, chicken etc. Raised as nature intended.

As for drought and food shortages. They come from bad farming in the wrong areas and over population. The Earth wasn't designed for 7 billion.

it isnt about them wanting to kill their customers

it is about them doing anything to make a buck...using poison on food products.
pushing shit through testing and controlling it with who they put in there

In the summer, all the veg/fruit I eat I've grown. winter about 50%
I've got organic chickens for meat/eggs

I've got pigs slowly clearing a small wood I purchased last year. Will butcher them after this years chestnut/acorn harvest.

I get my beef from my neighbor, who's keeps around 10 cows.

I never buy anything processed.

If you eat seasonal, it's not expensive.

so the weedkiller in question wasn't used with the non GMO control group?

that would be strange, as if something that severe was missing, it wouldn't really be an experiment, would it?

kind of like saying 'our gmo control group of rats all died, but our non gmo controlled group of dust ball are still spinning'

Here are 2 possible reasons...

1) The powers that be have decided people need to die younger, as government funding and earth resources cannot sustain a growing "older" population.

2) As long as people are continuously ill, the health care and pharmaceutical industries remain magnificently profitable.

Here are 2 possible reasons...

1) The powers that be have decided people need to die younger, as government funding and earth resources cannot sustain a growing "older" population.

2) As long as people are continuously ill, the health care and pharmaceutical industries remain magnificently profitable.
Sounds fair, but I am not sure why do they need more money. Those evil corporations from conspiracy theories already has everything and controls everything. Why do they care acout extra paper (money) when they already have everything?

In the past two decades, Monsanto’s seed monopoly has grown so powerful that they control the genetics of nearly 90% of five major commodity crops including corn, soybeans, cotton, canola and sugar beets.

In many cases farmers are forced to stop growing certain crops to avoid genetic contamination and potential lawsuits. Between 1997 and 2010, Monsanto admits to filing 144 lawsuits against America’s family farmers, while settling another 700 out of court for undisclosed amounts. Due to these aggressive lawsuits, Monsanto has created an atmosphere of fear in rural America ultimately driving many farmers into bankruptcy.

I'm against Monsanto but that study has some major flaws. Read some of the other articles about the study.

Either way I don't want to eat it...

I love that everyone feels so strongly that the best alternative to genetically modified crops, is mass famine, starvation and the death of millions in Africa.

That was the story they spun, but the reality turned out to be quite the opposite
