OK ....

You see a shirt you want to buy for $97, but you have no money.

So you go to your mother and borrow $50, and you go to your father and borrow $50.

Once you've purchased the shirt, you have $3 change, so you decide to give $1 back to your mother, $1 back to your father, and you keep $1.

So now you owe each of your parents $49 (49 x 2 = 98), plus the one dollar in your pocket ... equals $99.00

WHERE THE FUCK DID THE OTHER DOLLAR GO?!?!?

The parents share should have been $48.50 each ($97 divided by two), so that leaves a dollar for each parent, plus one for the math/logic scholar...

I don't know about how you do it, but in my neck of the woods, you pay back the FULL amount that you borrow ...
