I have no idea where the money came from but a lot of venture capital funds are handing out money left and right these days. Read TechCrunch and cross reference CrunchBase. Imagine what you can get if you already have revenue and a proven business plan.

p.s.: Fabian didn't get a real loan from a bank on his own. There are real money men backing it. And also...Fabian has never successfully built a paysite idea and had success with it.

I've been reading the history of Vegas. And every casino in Vegas from the 1940's to the 1980's was built by mob money. They always installed what they called the "sap" (front man) for legal purposes. Fabian is the "sap".
And just like the "saps" that were in Vegas...he THINKS he owns it. Right up until the plug gets pulled.

I actually did some fishing on this today....and its exactly as I thought.

From a source inside Manwin:

The only reason that the guys behind Manwin want New Frontier is to take the company public through the back door. Fabian is just the front man he doesn't have a clue how that works until the real bosses tell him. There is no way that Manwin could survive the scrutiny required to go public through an IPO, so the plan is to buy New Frontier which is already publicly held and get in via the back door.

To get a sizeable investment grant, loan, investment today. The people with the money want to know everything and I do mean everything. Company inside out, products, growth plans, history, market, it's growth or shrinkage, history, future. Now this is speculation. Maybe someone is behind it, buying up declining companies as quick as possible for a cheap price or a staggered repayment. With the intention of over time, soaking up more sales than the buy outs are costing.

Mike, correct me if I'm wrong. Won't Manwin become visible to shareholder even if they do the back door thing? Who wants shares when the holding or even part of the company isn't declaring accounts?

A company goes public to raise money so they can execute a business plan faster or more effectively than they could without the money. For this reason alone I see no reason why Manwin would want to go public. Are there any major properties left that they would need a large injection of capital to buy? If there is, they'd be much better off raising it privately or borrowing.

They already have a Brazzers channel on DirecTV, and any TV network that wanted to do this sort of thing would be happy to partner with them anyway.

It's game set match folks. The only problem I see them having going forward is maintaining their growth levels, because they've pretty much exhausted the available major buying opportunities. Kink? (who probably won't sell) MetArt? (who I believe sold already) Vivid? Karups? ATK? FTV? I'm not sure many of those are really in line with their business model, either.

Feeding bullshit is fun. I am bored sometimes, just happens...

Paul, roughly 600-700 people from start of refurbishments, we had floors half of 2, 3, 4, half of 5 when we had around 600, was crammed. Shortly after starting refurb we got full first floor and 2nd floor. So at 720 today, we use 1st as swing space, we have full 2nd and 4th fully finished, 6th will be done in a couple of weeks, half of 5th too, then people will move from 3rd to 5th and 6th, and from 2nd half of 5th over to the finished part. The 5th and 3rd is finished then. Then 1st moves to 3rd and 5th and we finish 1st.

Done.

You got floor 1 and started a refurbishment of that floor and 2 at the same time. Am I right?

So today you have 720 staff.

1st, 2nd, and 4th fully finished, 6th and half of 5th about to be.

Then you switch the staff from from floor to floor.

Thanks for the info. This was my field for years and I know the nightmare it can be in a working building, on a working floor it's more than a nightmare. Just keeping the dust out of computers is a real problem. By the look of what the design company showed and said, this was a full job. Teams of men with different skills. From toilet installers up. Furniture removal, false floors and ceilings, electrics, tele communications, air-con, heating, windows maybe, painting, partitions, carpets and then installing the furniture. 720 people walking in and out of a building while men bring all the stuff required in and out, nightmare. Disruption to work, distraction from work, switching systems, etc.

I preferred doing this work before anyone moved in to the building. Sadly rarely did it that way.

The final proof would be a short video from one of the floors being refurbished with a picture of Fuck GFY Trolls.

Paul, full 3 and 4, 1st is not started, still swing space, 1st is the last job since its no office space except for a small HR section.

So right now 2nd and 4th is fully finished, 5th half is almost done, 6th full is almost done, moving 3rd floor to 6th and some of 5th and 2nd; then will move rest of 5th which is sitll old right now to the new half 5th, demolish and redo old half of 5th and redo all of 3rd, then 2nd-6th is done and we finish 1st with cafeteria and all new entrance.

Again, doing this for fun, I have nothing to prove to you paul... I just had too much time last night so now I gotta finish what I started ;)

To me, Nathan/Fabian is like Brian Cashman, the General Manager for the New York Yankees. Here's what I mean:

Cashman controls the largest sports franchise on Earth, the Yankees "resources" dwarf any other team in baseball (and any other organized sports team with the possible exceptions of some UK/European soccer clubs). So when the Yankees "fuck up" by signing a lame-ass player they just buy another one. In other words, Cashman and the Yankees can overcome many mistakes....

So when people praise Cashman for his brilliant moves I think, sure he's got the MONEY to make all these moves but having resources doesn't make him brilliant. Nathan is kind of like this to me - he can make moves because he's got resources but that doesn't mean his moves are brilliant per se or even savvy. What if RK or Vivid or whover turns out to be a bust? No matter, just pick up another company and keep movin' right along...

Anyway, congrats to the Winners.

And is it me...or is Paul Markham being paid by Fabian to come into these threads and completely derail them?

Paul seems to be Fabians secret weapon for taking all the heat off of him. How much is Fabian paying Paul to enter these threads and turn them into nonsensical posts about bathrooms and office space and employees...which then leads everybody to attack Paul... and Fabian walks away unscathed.

Paul has so much experience at the top level of so many major companies I'm not sure Fabian could afford him. He said so himself in this thread.

Paul does that to almost any business thread, even more so lately.

He starts posting, his haters come out, and then the thread turns into a bunch of 5 year old bickering back and forth. One side is just as guilty as the other. It would be nice to see the business minded threads stay on topic versus the look-at-me stuff. I understand Paul has haters and all, and that some of those have no self control. But he's just as bad at times, and often times baits the trap. Whether knowingly or not.

Thanks for the info. This was my field for years and I know the nightmare it can be in a working building, on a working floor it's more than a nightmare. Just keeping the dust out of computers is a real problem. By the look of what the design company showed and said, this was a full job. Teams of men with different skills. From toilet installers up. Furniture removal, false floors and ceilings, electrics, tele communications, air-con, heating, windows maybe, painting, partitions, carpets and then installing the furniture. 720 people walking in and out of a building while men bring all the stuff required in and out, nightmare. Disruption to work, distraction from work, switching systems, etc.

I preferred doing this work before anyone moved in to the building. Sadly rarely did it that way.

The final proof would be a short video from one of the floors being refurbished with a picture of Fuck GFY Trolls.
