Last night I was flipping through the channels and came across Mean Girls. That movie came out in 2004. She was like 17 or 18 years old. She was beautiful, seemed like she had talent and a huge future in front of her.

In eight years since then she looks like she has aged about 25 years and just fallen apart. It is kind of sad. Clearly she went off the rails and had nobody in her life that seemed to care enough to help her.

Yep. give your average person fame and fortune when they are a teenager, surround them with people who do nothing but tell them how great they are and that they never do any wrong and include parents who make their living off that kid and want to turn a blind eye and you have a recipe for disaster.

I'm not sure what you mean. I watch a decent number of sports shows and they tend to be pretty critical of younger players who fuck up and often point out that this is the reason there should be a minimum age to be on a pro team because most 18 year old kinds don't handle the sudden fame and wealth very well.

It isn't an excuse for anyone to fuck up. In the end you have to eventually get your shit together and be a person who is responsible for their own actions. I am simply saying that this isn't a big shock because a lot kids put in her situation would have turned out the same way.

Hollywood loves a comeback. She supposedly was offered one of the leads in a movie called The Canyon that was written by Bret Easton Ellis and will be directed by Paul Schrader. Supposedly the film would require her to do full frontal nudity so she isn't 100% sure she wants to do it.

If she does do it and it turns out to be a good movie that she does a very good job in suddenly she will have buzz and she will "be back."

I think the insurance is actually for the movie production itself not the actor. They have the policy in place so that if something happens and the actor has to drop out or can't continue working the insurance kicks in and covers the cost of re-shoots, downtime, hiring new people etc.

I do agree with you though that I think Lohan likely hasn't done half the stuff she is reportedly doing. These days if a celeb goes out and has a couple of drinks two nights in a row the news is reported them as being out of control and needing rehab.

Meanwhile on one album Keith Richards was so strung out he couldn't even play so they worked around him and had some other people fill in for him. But then you never heard a word about it, we are only finding some of this stuff out now.

I read his book "Life" last year...it's a very cool book and tells the tales of everything...including lots of quotes from other people who were with The Stones through the years.

Once they hired Ron Wood..they then embarked on a giant world tour in support of the album in 1975. Then Richards was busted for heroin in Canada and almost went to prison.

He was so "strung out" apparently that they hit the studio as soon as the legal problems were over and re-jumpstarted their career with the incredible "Some Girls" album. That was 1978 and Keith Richards was named "Most Valuable Player" that year by Musician magazine.

Keef pretty much worked his whole life while partying his ass off. Most people actually can do that. But not everyone's physiology is the same. "LiLo" seems pretty lightweight in her ability to handle her shit. Her best bet is just to NOT party...but that seems highly unlikely that will happen. lol

You are right. It was Mick Taylor. . . I haven't read that book yet, but I am planning on it. There was a guy on Howard Stern a few years back talking about a book he had written about that period in the Stones career when Black and Blue came out and I got my who was high when stories crossed
