Juicing cannabis miraculously saves lives after physicians declare the battle lost...

(NaturalNews) At 16, Kristen Peskuski was suffering from joint inflammation and an array of autoimmune conditions which made her organs and other tissues swell, including interstitial cystitis and lupus. She was prescribed over 40 different anti-inflammatory, antibiotic and painkilling medications to combat the symptoms. Still struggling to bring the symptoms under control, Kristen developed steroid toxicity. She was told that the most she could hope for was reduced discomfort, and with luck, she might make it to her 30th birthday. Seeking alternative treatments, she began juicing raw cannabis leaves every day, and within two months, Kristen's back pain had been eliminated, and she had stopped using any other painkillers.

Stop this, let the pharm-industry feed her chemicals with many sideeffects instead.

man they can find cannabis cures cancer and they still would not legalize it because you can grow it at home and they cant tax it...simple as that...plus the medical mafia is the biggest mafia in the world and their overpriced snake oils bring in lots of tax money and more sick people to take yet more medicine, its like dealing drugs...well it is dealing drugs

"The family had been juicing cannabis leaves and feeding their baby a few ounces of the juice each day."

Which makes me wonder...

How many ounces of cannabis leaves does it take to produce a few ounces of juice?

A few ounces in the Vitamix with a little water. Can't taste any worse than wheatgrass.

Obviously its good science and factually accurate.

After all, its not like its just a few paragraphs copied and pasted from every stoner magazine in existence, making unverifiable/unverified claims.

Oh ... wait...

Yes, weed DOES help with inflammation and swelling!

THC has a tendency to release water and reduce pain. When pain and water retention is reduced, the joints in your body can relax more and significantly reduce irritation to the joints.

As for organs.. I don't know. I don't have direct experience except to say that when my liver swelled from stones. a quick deep bake session would eradicate the pain and eventually swelling would come down a bit once I laid down. Is that directly related or because my body "relaxed"? I am not sure.

When my liver issues started I could not eat without excruciating pain and dizziness nor could I shit without taking all kinds of laxatives.. even then, it barely did anything for me. I gave up the laxatives and stopped eating. One night I got really baked on hash and I pooped like a mad-man! Then I ate a nice fully rounded meal. No pain or discomfort until the next day. So that next day I smoked a fat bowl, ate breakfast and took an Olympic shit again. After doing this for months.. most of the stones passed on their own. I still have a few left and when they bother me, I smoke up good n high then the pain is gone, swelling goes down some and I can eat.

It's unfortunate they only figured out what was wrong with me after the bulk of stones passed and fed me prescription antacids for a condition I don't have.

So did self medicating help me more than medically sanctioned methods? Absolutely. Anyone who says any different can go stab themselves in the fucking liver for all I care.

I've used pot to deal with stress, anxiety (which ironically used to cause some for me in my younger years), swelling, floating rib pain, back pain, stomach pain, loss of appetite, difficulty evacuating bowels, injuries, etc Heck.. when I broke two bones in my hand last year.. I chucked the codeine and used weed, it worked better and hit me much faster.

I was missing something here. If raw cannabis is not very psychoactive, and heating needs to take place for the psychoactive component of THC to be released, I didn't understand at what point the cannabis is heated in the juicing process for it to be effective?

Further inquiry revealed that there is not heating, and a person doesn't actually get the stoned affect associated with THC, but instead receives the medicinal effect from the CBDs which are present in the cannabis.

I have been vaping Jamaican Lion (Sativa) lately, which is a strain with a high CBD concentration, and find it to be a nice daytime high, so the medical effects of the CBD are a bonus.

As with many things related to cannabis, a lot more research needs to be done. As a person with auto-immune issues (I have Psoriasis, and my mother and grandmother both died in their 40's from Lupus), I have noticed that after quitting alcohol for a year now, and using cannabis daily, that my skin condition has cleared up tremendously, and my blood pressure has dropped significantly (plus I lost 80 pounds).

My weight loss was gradual...over a year. I'm guessing that the combination of eliminating the liquid calories I was drinking (a fifth of rum a day), and getting more recreation (I do lots more physical activities when I'm not drunk), are the main contributing factors.

A fifth of rum contains something like 1600 calories, so even if you are pounding it with diet coke (zero calories), that is a lot of extra calories (plus the alcohol messes up your metabolism, etc).

When I switched to cannabis, I was concerned that munchies might cause me to put on weight, however, I find myself being choosier about what I eat these days (trying to eat more healthy), and after a few days of discipline, I don't have a major munchies issue.

My other main concern was productivity, since I was worried that if I was too stoned, my work output would suffer. I originally stopped using cannabis about 12 years ago, when I started in adult, because I was having a hard time staying focused, and learning all of the new software I was buying to develop websites. It took a few weeks to find the right balance, but once my tolerance levels adapted to daily cannabis use, I am sorry that I stopped for over a decade (it helps that there are many varieties of cannabis available, as well as several ways to prepare/consume marijuana).

As legalization spreads, I am trying to make sure that people get turned on to healthier alternatives to smoking cannabis...if you haven't tried using a vaporizer yet, I "highly" recommend that you try.

Yeah it also helps that the munchies can allow you to eat pretty much anything and love it. So you can buy a bunch of healthy shit that you normally wouldn't bother eating.

I find that I lose a good amount of my buzz when I eat food, so that is a small incentive to not just cave in and pig out. Beyond that, it involves a little learned self-discipline, and you can eat healthy on a regular basis - and when you want to indulge, there are plenty of cannabis edibles to choose from (you have to watch how much you eat though, to avoid getting too stoned - impossible to overdose, but it can make you fairly lethargic if you overindulge).

Quote:
People have been using cannabis to help cure what ails them for almost as long as the herb has been in use, period.

The earliest records date back to about 2700 B.C., when Chinese physicians were recommending a tea made from cannabis leaves to treat conditions like gout and malaria (cannabis was already in use as early as 4000 B.C. in China as a source of cloth, rope, fiber and cooking oil). Around A.D. 200, Chinese physician Hua Tao wrote about using it as part of what was probably the first anesthetic.

While the earliest mentions of medical cannabis come from China, other regions of the world were not too far behind. Several medical papyri dating from 1000 to 1700 BC show that the ancient Egyptians used cannabis to treat foot and eye problems, as well as hemorrhoids.

Separating medicinal use from magical and religious uses can be difficult in ancient literature, however, and this is certainly true in India. The "Atharva Veda," one of the sacred Hindu texts dating to around 2000 B.C., cites it as a sacred plant that combats "evil forces," which include those that cause both spiritual and health problems. More practical uses outlined in later writings like the "Sushruta Samhita" (an Ayurvedic medical text circa A.D. 300) include treating pain, insomnia and headaches, as well as another mention of cannabis as an anesthetic for surgical procedures.

Ancient Greeks may have been influenced by Indian use of medical cannabis, or vice versa. The first written record comes from Herodotus, who stated in 500 B.C. that Scythians, a group of ancient Iranian nomads, took vapor baths using marijuana. Other Greek writers mentioned using it to get rid of tapeworms, stop nosebleeds and reduce inflammation and pain in the ear. The seeds were even prescribed to "dry up semen" of teenage boys, possibly to reduce nocturnal emissions.

The use of cannabis as medicine became hotly debated in Islamic countries in the Middle Ages, as Koranic scholars were unsure whether it was in the same category as alcohol, which was forbidden. Ultimately, they drew a distinction between the use of medical cannabis and hashish (a strong form of marijuana made from resin) as used to get high.
