Daughter's rape lie recanted; father freed after 9 years in prison; DA declines to prosecute daughter because she's just a girl.

Now 43, Kennedy was released last week and all charges against him were dismissed.

Cassandra Kennedy says she lied because she was disappointed in her father after her parents divorced.

Hopefully nine years in the can made him just crazy enough to kill her.

While my knee-jerk reaction to particularly heinous crimes is that society would be better off without those individuals, cases like this cause me to reconsider capital punishment. "New evidence indicates your father was innocent of your mother's murder - too bad we executed him three years ago."

Happened here to a footballer a few months ago.

Some bitch claimed he raper her. She remained anonymous. After his name and career being dragged through the mud, she finally admitted she made it up.

What happened to her? Nothing. Has she been named yet? Nope.

So basically a guy almost lost his career and was branded a rapist, yet she goes about her business, and probably will do the same to someone else at some point.

Like i said before, rather than encourage all these rape reports, why don't they make it clear that any false rape claim will result in a lengthy jail sentence.

Then and only then, will real rape cases get dealt with properly...

I would be interested to see how the initial case went and what they did to "prove" he was "guilty." Did this girl create fake evidence? Seems too young for that. I'm curious if the mother had any involvement.

Prosecutors are really good at their job, which is to advocate on behalf of their client.. Sadly it's not to seek the truth. A good prosecutor would have you send your own mother to the slammer when you knew she was with you all day.
