the driver wouldnt get out of the car and the road workers busted their ass to free the porsche. how is it their problem? i'd leave it there til it hardened. then make the owner pay for removal (and concrete replacement).

I do. Seriously. I speed, run red lights, cut people off, I've even driven drunk after a liter of whiskey... more than once, albeit out in the middle of nowhere, years ago when I was fucking stupid. I worked my fucking ass off for that car. If I should run into wet cement in my WagonR that I bought on a whim one weekend a few years ago, it'll be "poor guy". If I run into it in my Century, it'll be "fuck that asshole".

It's not the person, it's the car. Because surely everyone is with an expensive car is an asshole, right? The underlying jealousy is pathetic.

One time I ran out of gas because I passed a crappy getty station trying to make it to a shell station. So I had to push the car a few hundred feet: litterally from one gas station parking lot to another. I remember the road turned into a parking lot with people laughing at me pushing my porsche. I was amazed at how silly & jealous your average 9-5 40k a year schlep is. I really had to pause & take it all in. I mean, the car ran out of gas 200 ft before a gas station. I just don't see that as a knee slapping moment. I learned a lot about people that day.

I was driving a Gallardo Spyder around for a day, it was bright "fucking look at me" yellow... Apparantly when you hit some bumps the self levelling headlights can each turn themselves off until they re-calibrate. Anyway I was driving around in the dark with 1 headlight on for probably 2 hours, and no less than 12 people either yelled at me about it from red lights, the sidewalk, or even while driving beside me at 40mph.

Two weeks cruising around town in my Subaru with one headlight and not a peep from anyone.
