The excuse is absolute bullshit and the stats prove it, I'm sure others who look closely can verify this happening for years as well. But, fuck it, time to move forward. Lesson learned here too; If you let them pull the wool over your eyes, they will, always test.

Drama-fueled or not, GFY is pretty useful. It sucks when someone puts you on the spot but its also an effective way to draw attention to an issue. We have been the target of "drama-fueled" issues ourselves and if anything it forced us to pay very close attention to issues, take screenshots and keep super-detailed logs of everything in order to prove or disprove a case.

Best,

Honestly, my pleasure. It's tiring to see hard working affiliates see their work get tossed out the window due to dishonest sponsors. This sponsor is absolutely dishonest and the excuse presented is absolute bullshit.

Nice to see this issue being addressed.

I noticed this months ago myself and stopped using them. Just figured it was their way of doing business. I had just gotten back from a banning so I figured I'd just take my domains elsewhere.

Nice to see they are going to address it now. Maybe other programs will as well. Sucks when you brand something and somebody that is supposed to be a partner is fucking that up!

Unfortunately, I can't prove this. But, it seems like common sense when I look at my stats. Someone signs up on my white label and then, as I stated before in some cases, less than an hour later buys on F4F and doesn't come back. Which is why I find the reason Brad gave comical. Well, comical if it didn't fuck affiliates for such a long period of time.

wow, it's funny how the "mistakes" are always in favors of affiliate programs and not The other way around. Glad they Fix it, my WL provider is awesome if you're looking for a new one.

He said he would try. I would also like to see him try and answer the question of why for years customers have signed up to a white label and within hours or days then purchased their credits from F4F. Perhaps he's preparing a better excuse and needs some time?

Sarcasm flies over your head.

There's probably a very easy way to put this right. Brad needs to go back and look at his figures, make a calculation at what the "mistake" has made for them and cost their affiliates and pay out in a way to ensure the damage is put right.

This is however what I found out about VS. They had banners and popups on piracy forum sites. When informed of this in the Xbiz board Vendzilla claimed these were rogue affiliates and would be suspended. The ads and pop ups remained on the sites. His excuse was he couldn't force the "affiliates" to take them down. The piracy forum sites I found later sell these ad spaces and popups.

So I assume VS had paid for the month and were letting it run it's course.

In fact who knows who owns the sites? As usual all is hidden.

One was Hornywhores.net who seem to have now Livejasmin and Steamate or Fling supporting them. The other Intporn. These forums exist largely on the support of the webcam industry. So if you're an affiliate still selling porn paysites, be careful who your friend are.

So far I've gone back to the beginning of May 2011. I'll continue further when I have time. But, to give another example. On May 1 2011 at 2:45 AM there was a free credit card sign up on my white label from user X, that same user X then made his first purchase of credits from the F4F website at 2:56 AM. A total of 11 minutes between my white label free credit card sign up and his first purchase on F4F.

Quote:
I think the Sales Department did what they were supposed to do in the correspondence with the OP; but we could and should have asked for more examples in that email exchange as it would have pointed the programmers directly to the problem (just as it did this morning). Another good lesson.
The programmers never noticed the difference of 11 minutes, to a few hours, to a few days, repeatedly since...who the hell knows? At least May 1 2011 for now.

Vendzilla, were up privy to this scam your old employer was pulling on it's affiliates?

Because it sounds a lot like a scam they were hoping nobody would figure out.

So why when I contacted the two sites, did they say they only sell ad spots?

Why did you use the same lame excuse twice, of you couldn't force them to. So the so called affiliates were sending F4F free traffic?

Makes far more sense that the adverts were just running out of time.

Banner ad and the link Free Sex Cam Chat went to F4F.

Great to have affiliates send free traffic and not have a program screw up that does the same.

I think it's important for people to understand that all of the customers that spent money on F4F we’re still your customers and you still got your commission on them.

not if they create new account... and for some reason I see customers creating more than one account (almost the same usernames with digit at the end). So... if some of WL clients went to F4F to create account (to maybe receive free credits!!!) then we're in lost position and this should have not happened.

I think it's important for you to understand that people work hard at branding, that repeat customers matter in rankings, that all the time spent to build those domains into the destination for the webcam customer was thrown out the window within minutes of their purchase. Those people talking and spreading links to our sites were then gone, using a new card and information were then gone, everything associated with our domain and our hard work...gone!

I guess I should of just thrown up simple redirects then. That's what basically took place anyway.

I'm just a peon in the scheme of things, and I'm upset. I hope this didn't happen with the larger affiliates...maybe it was selective screwing.

Again Paul, I know you're an idiot and I'll state this once more for you, I never lied to you. You are just trying to bash me.. I told you that steps were being taken to prevent that from happening again, thats what I was told. They ran the pop up long after the purchase of space was over. VS had no power to take it down.

You're just a guy that's no longer in the industry trying to live up to the bookend you proudly display in your avatar. Go Fuck Yourself.

By bashing a company thats taking steps to fight piracy and someone that is clearly against piracy, you are clearly promoting piracy. Be Proud

And misdirecting by posting an old screen grab is showing how low you will go

Vendzilla - Paul is a worthless idiot that hangs around here hoping someone will let him talk about his glorious career. why would you even reply? and if you do reply please dont quote him so that the sensible among us that have him on ignore dont have to read his idiotic banter.

failed - are these fuckers going to pay you? sounds like you lost potentially thousands. i made $20k off VS in a 3-month client project about 5 years ago. no wonder they steal customers from affiliates. who wants to share that cash?

it amazes me that they are still in business after admitting in post 46 that they did in fact steal customers from affiliates. i didn't, however, see any mention of the restitutions they'd be paying for this mistake. my guess would be that they owe some cash to all white label affiliates.

as someone said, another day in this fucked up industry..

You're right

I've actually been staying out of this kind of shit where I can. I have him on ignore as well, just knew he was bashing me personally because of the topic, such a loser.

Failed is a bit of a drama queen, if he doesn't get his way in 5 minutes, he starts a thread. Because of him, some things about the white label at VS has been changed. He keeps making money, so he will stick with it.

Don't get on Jeff too much, he doesn't have a clue how to deal with these kind of things. It's his first job in adult.

failed - are these fuckers going to pay you? sounds like you lost potentially thousands. i made $20k off VS in a 3-month client project about 5 years ago. no wonder they steal customers from affiliates. who wants to share that cash?

it amazes me that they are still in business after admitting in post 46 that they did in fact steal customers from affiliates. i didn't, however, see any mention of the restitutions they'd be paying for this mistake. my guess would be that they owe some cash to all white label affiliates.

as someone said, another day in this fucked up industry..

To my understanding you do get paid for those credits, it just sucks your branding efforts are wasted.

Another nicely-named, quiet yet familiar and therefore seemingly well-established program fights to survive with shady tactics, hoping no one notices as they crumble to dust.

You are correct.

I'm sure they will fix the problem.

Don't get on Jeff too much, he doesn't have a clue how to deal with these kind of things. It's his first job in adult.
First of all, I always emailed my rep about whatever problem I had first. If I wasn't responded to in a week or so, or if I was flat out lied to by you and everyone else at VS, I brought it to the boards. Just like this thread, where this shady, underhanded, corrupt bullshit has been going on for years.

It was never easy dealing with you. You have the communication and writing abilities of a 3rd grader. But, I dealt with it and tried to remain patient. But, when you're being ripped off on a daily basis for years, like every other Video Secrets affiliate, it's kind of hard to remain patient or quiet. Of course you wouldn't understand, because you're incapable.

Anyone who stays with Video Secrets, or trusts a word you say from this point on is an absolute fool!

*Edit, thank you for bumping the thread with your stupid arguments (as usual).

Yeah, they sent me an apology letter and a $250 amazon gift card. I guess that's what my work was worth over the years. What a joke.

This isn't correct. There were emails that went out without affiliate codes in them. The newsletters without the free credits.

- If a customer followed that email link and used new credit card information, were we paid?
- If that email was forwarded or shared, we definitely weren't paid or would have anyway to track who was referred by these emails.

- Customers were sent free credit offers by F4F immediately after signing up on a white label so you tell me how I was paid for:

- The missing traffic
- The missing rankings
- The missing word of mouth
- The missing social sharing
- Everything missing from a customer that would normally visit my domain regularly that didn't any longer because of F4F stealing those customers.

So glad to see someone that understands all of the intricacies of promoting a site. It's not just about a sale being tracked.

You're just a guy that's no longer in the industry trying to live up to the bookend you proudly display in your avatar. Go Fuck Yourself.

By bashing a company thats taking steps to fight piracy and someone that is clearly against piracy, you are clearly promoting piracy. Be Proud

And misdirecting by posting an old screen grab is showing how low you will go
The honesty of this man is clear, First it was "they were affiliates" now caught out as a liar. He admits VS bought space on a piracy site. Of course completely unknowingly and when the time ran out, these nice pirates, kept send the traffic.

Pith the fight against piracy doesn't extend to finding out where they buy space from.

Vendzilla you're tying yourself up in your own lies.

How low will you go is the question?

I saw an email that was sent exactly 5 minutes in the evening before you posted to GFY that problem. You came back with your email before that, where you were asking marketing advice. Hardly something to get your panties in a bunch about.

Before that, you had a problem conveying to me your problem about branding, Still I wasn't your rep and since he was on vacation, I took care of it. When it wasn't fixed in 5 minutes you went to the boards. Again, it was resolved, you even praised me for it later.

Your idea of patience is what, 5, maybe 6 minutes?

Why are you quoting me? I really think they will fix the problem.

Vendzilla is an opinionated, hardheaded bastard, lol. But, he's always on the board and whether you agree or disagree with him, he's always willing to help. They have another rep Matt who is very helpful as well.

I had to recently switch one of my domains because they don't allow the use of "teen" anymore, and they sent emails to all of my customers making the transition as smooth as possible. And, most importantly, they gave me adequate notice so that I could take all the necessary steps required to make it a smooth transition.

Video Secrets is the only cam company I would recommend using.
So what changed?
