Why didn't they go off to work in advertising, newspapers, cinema and TV ?

Because they were crap. They knew nothing about real professional photography.
You really are stupid aren't you. Not a question.

Do you know what a decent wedding shooter charges for the day?

The skill of shooting people is your level of "People Skills." The photography part is very easy compared with that.

And how do you know some of the shooters were not trained in photography?

Many were. Take your stupidity to an amateur board.

And let's see proof you were trained in photography. your work shows decent amateur level. Nice but not going to make you any money. Let's have some proof you're not all talk.

Guess I'm not on the ignore list anymore. ( is the ignore thing like 24 hours? )

Does not matter how much a wedding photographer earns it bears no relation to his photographic skills. A whore may earn more than a doctor but I know who I ask for medical advice.

Maybe some were trained in photography, you were not.

My qualification and experience would be relevant if I set myself up as an expert. Telling others how to do things, like you do.

I am just pointing out, for the benefit of the young and naive, that you are not a photographer, have never trained as a photographer, have never won any awards for your photography, do not think reading books is good, etc etc, so not the best person to take photographic advice from.

Thank you for publicizing our material AGAIN, even you go through our site trying to find the worse pics to show, but thats fair game.

Does this look like it was shot in our home?

This thread started with you refusing a challenge by Damian, that he could shoot a better scene than you. My monies still on Damian.

I never said I was a photographer. Never give anything but basic advice on photography. You dreamed that I did. like you dream you're an erotic photographer.

The pics are samples on your FHGs. The idea is to show people your best work. I assumed this was your best work.

Your material shows your level and you claim you were trained. It looks like your training hasn't made you able to shoot anything above basic amateur.

This is what you should have on your site.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...136 0&bih=811

This is what a trained shooter can do.

This is what you do.

So stop trying to tell people that you have a clue. Your work says it all. You're not even bright enough to put a watermark on an images.

Paul Markham Quotes..

My job is "Photographer and Managing Director" from that I'm officially invalided

The problem of doing a master class is the first thing people have to learn is you can't shoot GOOD porn on a shoestring budget and if you could,...blah blah blah

My job is photographer and managing director.

I expect even if I produce the most outstanding porn scene ever most will flame me.

END

And that just after wading through a few of your postings...

Dude, I had "that traffic" and a lot more. You are clueless..go back to "adult webmastering" school and leave this to the pro's.

It did not sell in any amount as much as hardcore..ever. That's why no softcore site was ever as "big" as a gonzo "Bang Bus" or "Milf Hunter" site was. There was no comparison.

I'm sure that you could sell enough to a softcore site back in the day to make the kind of money you are used to. But we had a lot more traffic and made a lot more money than just about anyone as affiliates. And I saw what sold in every niche across the board.

We had every niche running on AL4A and then I archived it into categories on Ampland.
I don't need YOU to try and tell me shit about what sells. I have a "babe" category. I see what it does in comparison.
Yes, softcore sells. No, it doesn't sell anywhere close to hardcore.
Just go away, you may have made a few bucks in this business years ago but you're all washed up and one of those PM types that wishes shit didn't change. What's the large tube you run? Yeah fuck you.

You haven't answered me.

So selling the same content that was in a paysite to offline areas of porn and making a huge profit on the content in offline. Is the wrong thing to do?

Can you please.
Given I find that both dwelling on the past and dwelling on present/ future hypotheticals are both usually a waste of time, I think it's safe to say that dwelling on past hypotheticals is a huge waste of time. When compounded by the fact that debating anything with you is a almost always a huge waste time, I think it's reasonable to assume that I won't be touching that question.

But more importantly, why are you not only continuing to use 'could of' instead of 'could have', but increasing it's rate of use? You have the correct information. I handed it to you on a platter. Yet you choose to be wrong. Continuing to use 'could of' is infinitely more likely to drive others crazy than to result in it ever being correct. The whole thing is really just a microcosm of your gfy existence. lol

Just goes to show that you can take a tosser out of Staines, but you can never take the Staines out of a tosser.

In saying this, you prove that improving at your craft was secondary to making money. That's fine in some cases and even the preferred mindset for some fields, but having that mindset in a creative field, especially one that evolves with a high level fluidity, will almost always come back to bite you in the ass.

Great quote. An architectural photographer friend of mine had a page on his website mentioning his availability to do weddings. It stuck out like a sore thumb. Here's his site. http://thomascummins.com/

It's a great example of the business skills of online porn. I doubt if it has got any better. Most are stuck in a rut and remain there. Yes the time to change on that level is gone. Still is illustrates that the people many regarded as gurus, weren't so bright. Weren't and aren't.

If you think photography is easy that is because you don't know photography.

We use photography on our site "Cinema Erotique" but as the title says video is what we are selling.

You really work that system don't you Paul!

Some say an immigrant sponging benefits from a government when he is a millionaire is immoral. But you boast about it! Depriving people who actually need money when you have millions is a little bad, but fuck it, right, they are only fucking foreigners! LOL!

OK, fine. You win. I'll answer the question as it would just be too cruel to toy with you and hold out for much longer.

Yes, Paul, selling members area content offline is a great revenue stream. Hopefully Shap has been able to pry himself away from this stupid fucking thread, but if he's still inexplicably stuck here with the rest of us, maybe you should ask him about Twistys Members Only DVDs.

What is Picture Bank? And what advertising companies? I worked at J. Walter Thompson before moving to Zenith focuse solely on media planning/negotiating. I also interned at DDB right here in your hood (Prague not Staines). Pretty good companies for someone with my low level of thinking, but admittedly not nearly as prestigious as Astralmotherfuckingblue.

One guy is not everyone but the reasoning for advising 'one guy' to not mention wedding photography services on his art and architectural photography website was because of the generally negative perception it would have amongst everyone. Or at least pretty much everyone except for you. Sorry if I confused you.

OK, i've never been on a set, so I just want to ask one question. You do what you do to set up the camera and get it to work right and you also set up the lighting and all the other technical things. The model gets there, you have a chat, show off your world class people skills, make her comfortable, try get a vibe going and what not, and just make sure that everything model related is set up to work right. My question is that after the camera is set up to work right and after the model appears as if she will work right, how do you make sure that the photographer's brain is working right? Or is that something that can be overlooked?

Yes, Paul, selling members area content offline is a great revenue stream. Hopefully Shap has been able to pry himself away from this stupid fucking thread, but if he's still inexplicably stuck here with the rest of us, maybe you should ask him about Twistys Members Only DVDs.

Seeing the Hardcore BG I saw different level of porn quality. So Shap sold a small part of his site on DVD. Did he sell the sets to magazines as well? Solo girl, that's where the money is. DVD is more for Hardcore. So how many other sites did the same. Or does just a few doing it mean the vast number who didn't missed out on a great opportunity.

Yes I know a few did go over to DVD, better late than never.

If you worked in advertising you would know of this method of buying single pictures. Just a quick search.

Just different ways of monetising content. and this is how easy it is for people who own content to sell that content many times. Surprised someone who was in advertising didn't know of the brokers who were selling images.

http://www.photorama.nl/ even in porn it's a well know concept. And just how easy it was for people with good content to squeeze every dollar out of the content.

With this level of understanding of what a good pornographer does. You shouldn't be questioning me. In fact with this level of "man management" I'm left confused why you would even open yourself up to my answer. Or maybe you were just being sarcastic.

Being a pornographer needs different skills, some more important than others. Unless your going to start working in the top end of the glamor market, the "Photography" skills are very basic.

Set the lights, cameras, sound etc or with todays cameras and many niches, point and shoot. What ever the level once learned little changes, except light and sound in some locations can present different problems that are often the same or similar ways. Still once learned, it's easy to repeat. Unless you work in a very high end, which isn't anyone here.

Then a knowledge of porn and the niche. Otherwise the end product is wrong. Much like mixing a cake, you have to know the recipe and get the ingredients right.

Now the toughest part. Managing models. People are different, we all respond to different motivations. Need handling a different way. To bring out the best in us or the required performance to ensure the scene is good.

Models are not always easy people to deal with, very few come to work with any thought of having lots of orgasms. In fact the opposite is more likely the case. And we need a convincing performance from a girl who can't act, doesn't want to real fuck and get "dirty". To look like she will fuck a stranger for the kick of it. And when she does, she's really getting into it. Even if it's solo girl, she needs to put over a performance that convinces people.

Now that takes skills. If you look at the scenes of mine that were put on Tubes and read the comments. You see how well I can do it. If it's so easy, why are the comments so positive? The idiots here who post the links thinking it shames me are idiots. They should read the comments and look at the votes. Then try to figure out what I'm doing that surfers like and they can't see.

Handling models is often what shooting people is all about. Getting them to reflect the mood you need, to come out of their shell, to now be too scared or shy, not try to dominate and do it their way, not go onto auto pilot and float through the work.

If you look at Cherry's scene of the girls bumping and grinding to some bland music. You see clearly his lack of skills to motivate models. I get the impression they really don't know what he's trying to achieve. What ever it, they look like they're going through the motions. What ever his camera skills are they're wasted when he shoots girls who don't have a clue what they're trying to do. If you look at a lot of porn, you see this over and over.

Look at Christine and see a girl who knows what she's doing.

Wow, almost 5,000 views to this thread already. Damian J is the master!!!!!

Let's disect this:

1. He trolled Paul Markham
2. Lured Shap out of retirement (not difficult when it consists of changing countless poopy diapers)
3. Used Manwin in the title

Now each one of these aspects are not difficult to do but to combine them into one thread title approaches brilliance.
I am in awe of you Damian J

Thanks. The key really was Paul lying. But he does that all the time, so it was something I could predict easily.

I give classes.

:D

4. Makes himself look stupid AGAIN.
5. Wastes time doing so when he needs to work, so he can pay the rent.
6. Dumb enough to to spot I was goading him into posting the thread.
7. Gave me a little bit of trolling to do, to help pass the day between walking the dog, watching TV, cooking, reading, teaching my daughter English and maths.

Oh Fuck don't blow this....

Now everyone will want to jump on-board.

I was hoping no one else would notice Damian's ploy.

Paul Markham's comedy gold threads are great advertising.

The way he shows the most awful movies to contrast with our movies, could we pay for better?

I dread I'll get an invoice from Damian any day.
