"Spam"?

Do you even know the real meaning of the term?

All so-called "spam" is in point of fact, NOT spam!

Much of what is termed "spam" is perfectly legal commercial emailing.

Certain kinds of commercial emailing sent by certain entities need not comply with CAN-SPAM and may quite legally be blasted out across the entire planet without fear of legal hassles. People have come to define ALL commerical emailing or for that matter, any sort of mailing they don't like as "spam".

It is also perfectly legal and very, very effective to mail for adult as long as certain guidlines are followed. Betcha didn't know that, didja?

In any case, commerical emailing is the way of the future, like it or not and call it what you will, commerical emailing works!

Well, currently I'm the largest Chat Traffic guy to date. But as you all know it's pretty fuckin hard these days and is nothing like it was years ago. These mailer guys are making bank single handed compared to my offices in Asia selling via chat. I was reading a bit on google and their are limits on sending mass emails legally. So i gotta learn from the best, cops are not to happy with where i am at now. Even caught a cop behind my house in his car on my network not to long ago using a man in the middle attack seeing what I'm doing. It freaked the shit out of me.

I have 1.2 million emails here, some going as far back as 1998! I'm willing to sell for 1 person, just need to learn the art!

There's a lot of work involved with keeping your server whitelisted.

My mainstream company has build a mailer engine for one of our clients and am maintaining the system, including MS JMRP and other spam compliant actions involved. It's a lot of work.

They currently send out about 1-2 million mails every day.

If you need any pointers (or software) hit me up on ICQ.

That would be very easy with me. I can get thousands of emails in just 24 hours but adult niche only.

Ok chief, here's what you need.

1. You will need some sort of 'opt-in' platform. Preferably with time, date, IP stamp.
2. Mail platform. Many to choose from. Novice to kick ass.
3. Understanding ISP and access to IP's.
4. Good cleaning service to eliminate traps and bounces. Especially with old. I recommend IW.

For smaller lists, you could get by with an ESP if you wanted. I would clean that data however before trying to mail it. If you are going to keep building up your list, you need a decent privacy policy on your sites and a way to get legal double opt-in addresses and time/date/ip/url stamp them preferably. If you are going to do this seriously, long term, and volume you really need a solid platform. That can cost you a few bucks.

There are many ways to mail and segment your data. You also have to figure out how you're going to target your data. Keep in mind if you are planning to mail adult, you need to be conscious of the Michigan and Utah laws on that which will be tricky if you did not track the data from the get go.

Good luck fine sire.

the easy days of mailing are gone. now you need quality double opt in lists and really screen complainers, etc. hosts will often give you a hard time. i thought the days of mailing were dead for the most part, mass mailing anyways. if you have an ex members list or something similar there are services that can handle the dirty work for you but you can't just blast a bunch of shitty old lists from god knows where.

The easy days of anything online are over. You,....*gasp*... have to work to make some money. But there are guys making $1000.00+ per day off a single server.

Sure, you need to know what you are doing to some degree, and no it is not just some old days blast away volume game. But if you spend the time, like anything, doing the research and tweaking your lists. You can easily make some solid coin.

I personally believe webmasters who know what they are doing can make a KILLING in mailing. Especially if they know how to develop their own lists over time. Including the tracking part with the double opt-in.

Thanks for all your comments, i got an email with a book. Thought you guys would find this pretty kick ass. He said "I run www.blueplayers.com. Here is a tutorial I wrote years ago on how to do mailers via link lists.

www.blueplayers.com/tutorial.rar

THere are templates in there and much more!"

The ZIP files and such look pretty hardy. Have a look at them.

´

Some key points in addition to this are:

- Split testing
- Loyalty tracking

and of course keeping your servers on the whitelists and I can tell you that alone, along with handling complaints, is AT LEAST 1-2 hours a day if you send any decent volume.

True dat. If you are spending the time on white listing and warming up. It can take you some time to handle that.

If you have decent quality lists, and invest in cleaning out the hard and soft bounces, the mail traps, and other bullshit with IW (hygiene) every 2-4 weeks then you should be eliminating most of that bullshit. There are a few other tips and tricks to solve that as well in your templates.

If you are getting double digit complaints every few/days you're doing something wrong.

Exactamundo.

If you are planning to do porn mailing, whether legal double opt-in or not, you need to be mindful of mailing to minors in Michigan and Utah. That will get you into trouble. It is why many simply mail the mainstream offers UNLESS they are using old pay site membership lists where you needed a credit card (i.e. over 18).

I also agree with you in regards to spending the time in regards to compliance.

That depends on what you using to define "the best".

If you are talking infecting people's computers to using botnets, and not following CAN-SPAM, blasting incredible volumes of mail with reckless disregard than I suppose you would be correct. If you do not have any throttle, or rules to follow, and can use infected machines for mail there is little to stop you. By the numbers alone you would could be perceived as 'successful'.

I used all of those tips... I still couldn't get my shit people opted in for into their mailboxes...

If I use those tips I might get 6% to 12% on a blast...

If I don't I get about 2% to 6%.

I have a list over over 1000 people that opted in for me to send them site reviews as I create them... And it just sucks that the IPS's can't fucking make a proper filter for spam and let me into people's inboxes that asked for my Emails...

Just not worth it to make it into 20 to 60 people's inboxes a day...

If somebody has opt-in and otherwise compliant lists, I am always willing to work with them in private to make that list work for them.

disruptive messages, especially commercial messages posted on a computer network or sent as e-mail.

spam to most is unsolicited bulk email, just like the flyers in your mailbox..

It sounds like an old man who is completely out of touch with today's online business.

No offense.
