![]() Go mainstream with your domain, name, posts, everything..... except the pay site ads you have strategically placed.

I saw you post this in another thread, seriously? Is this strategy working for you, or some inside joke?

Yes.
Its called the "perhaps you'd like to relax with some jerking off now?" marketing method.

It does work, depends on the site. Obviously a general interest or male oriented blog is going to perform better than one aimed at the female market.

Cool. In related news adsense seems to just be showing lots of 75$ free adwords ads on MANY sites I find via serp, kind of lame for the publishers.

that is really a stretch
but if you have a blog about cars for example, and I linktrade with you with my car blog, then I see that you have banners to porn sites on your blog, then your mainstream car blog becomes no longer mainstream, and I think google feels the same way |

Push dating and cam sites on your mainstream blogs. Treat them just like your tube sites.

As a lead in blog to my main site, and in conjunction with the actual World Cup, I did The World Cup of Porn on wordpress.com. It wasn't monetized at all, but it got a shitload of traffic, was mentioned on a larger mainstream German site, and it definitely served it's purpose.
While it's true that much of the traffic was due to the whole Bobbi Eden Team BJ thing, ie I got lucky, the WCOP carryover traffic still helped me make more money in that first month than I have in any of the 8 or so subsequent months, It wasn't NEARLY as much as I had anticipated, but it was still likely more than most new webmasters make in their first year. And had I been more skilled at things like simple web design, or knowing how to even somewhat properly monetize a website, it would have likely been much more. Sports + Porn is the new black.

This is a great idea if done properly. I've used it for my own site with much success.

I just used that as one thing to illustrate that there is a difference between mainstream and adult, and if you put porn site banners on any kind of site that site then also becomes an adult site
this thread is an interesting example of how google treats a site differently once it decides that it is adult and not mainstream: https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1021854 if you are generating your traffic from sources that are not search engines and not any issue with the traffic going to adult sites, then you don't care about these concerns though |

If it's not targeted to kids, it's adult, mainstream or not. Using only two separations isn't going to work anymore.
I've yet to see any porn website with "Adult Content Warning", do you have an example? Quote:

I just believe that in the search engine algorithm there is a difference specifically (maybe a flag of some sort set in the algorithm) that makes google serve results differently based on whether a site is "porn" or "not porn", if you are linking to sites that google considers "porn", then they are less likely to send surfers to you that are searching keywords that google considers "not porn" I understand your point about aiming towards adults, but there is obviously something more to it from google's perspective, which can be seen in their, safe, moderate, 'unsafe' separations in searching, if you want the benefits of being a mainstream site, then it is not a good idea to put porn banners or links on your mainstream site, that is my belief |

The only thing that doesn't have it's benefits is pure porn lol.
I've yet to see google discount listing with porn ads if the site is targeted towards mainstream topics, like what you'd see on wired.com or cnn.com. Quote:

So as you can see this is only an issue for blogspot hosted sites.

How about turning your porn site in a mainstream blog about wine or scrapbooking...
