we only offer anaglieph 3-D for now but if market needs it we will reformat for 3DTV

I almost bought one a couple months ago, then I realized my receiver would have to be upgraded as well since the HDMI switching on it was not compatible with the 3D signal. So I said fuck it and saved about $500 by going with a non-3D LED TV.

There's not a lot of content out there other than 1 or 2 speciality channels on satellite, some video games, and the odd blu-ray.

Any 3D porn I have seen is just the shit you use with the red and blue glasses.

otherwise its just a bunch of people wearing these $200 glasses to watch a show they could watch anyway in perfect HD without the clunky glasses

a friend of mine bought one and said he never uses it because he keeps misplacing the glasses.

i wont buy one because my receiver, which I just bought not to long ago, does not support HDMI 1.4 (1.4 = 3D). I could bypass the receiver and run fiberoptic to the receiver and the HDMI straight to the TV, but not worth it until they become glass-less

I bought one, used it for a month, and returned. Not enough content for me and it ultimately started hurting my eyes.

I was buying a full new surround sound, receiver and TV for my basement so was very close to getting one. In the end I couldn't justify the cost, so picked up a Bose surround sound with Yamaha receiver and 60inch Plasma. Looks pretty sick. Really glad I didn't spring the extra 1500 bucks for the 3D TV, not to mention it would only have been 55inch.

I specifically bought a tv that wasn't 3D, even though the prices were similar. I just don't care for 3D. I posted in another thread about this too, at about the 20 minute mark of the last 3D movie I saw (Avatar) I took the glasses off to watch the regular version. I find it unappealing and boring.

I gave up shopping for 3D TV's. All the ones I was shown sucked with a blurry image, low refresh rate, too dim, or all of the above, and I'm talking on the best most expensive setups too.

When I watch a movie, I want to be "lost" in the movie - I don't want to be reminded that I'm watching a shitty image with headache inducing flicker.

In my opinion the technology is too new. I'd wait at least another 2 years before picking up a 3D setup.

Not yet, but some of my friends already have it.

I think more will buy it when prices will go a bit lower. That is like with everything new when it hits a market, first only rich can afford it when prices go lower more and more people buy it.
