Being raised christian and drinking - RANT

Everything is okay... you can have a shitty loser life, because you'll be rewarded, later. Everything you ever enjoyed as a human being, it was a sin. They put fear into you making you believe that anyone not "saved" is going to a hell.

I don't know, then you finally (I have) end up hating christ to the point where you'd like to be the one to hunt the lying motherfucker down, PERSONALLY... but then if you don't believe in him, there's no one to bring to justice for all of these lies you use to live by

The biggest things that woke me up were that the only people who ever programmed me for it were ass backwards fucks who preached all of the time yet lived like, well, not only atheists but extremely atheistic. We love god so much that we're greedy, we judge everyone, we care nothing for loved ones, anything we do that is a sin isn't because it's gods will. . . etc etc . . . Then I see the television evangelists over there going on and on and on about "tithing" and the catholic gay rape church and. God damn.

I think that being programmed, and struggling to come out of it for the past 5-6 years, it's contributed greatly to my drinking problem.

That and realizing just how ridiculously insignificant human beings are. And having to be one. What a god damned sad fucking joke.

One question I could never answer... why does it come so god damned natural to a man ro say God Damn It?!! It feels good, now. For years I wouldn't say it and I'd drive a car over anyone who would. I'd get so mad. I love to curse god, now.

I don't know, I'm just venting. God and jesus destroyed the first twenty some years of my life, not sure if they exist but I doubt it, now, and I'm going to have a much better life now.

I don't have to feel bad about enjoying a face full of female ass and pussy or fucking a woman in her asshole or anything else I do. I don't have to feel bad about eating like a god damned rabid wolf, until I can hardly breathe. I don't have to feel bad if I make a business deal that hurts someone. I don't have to feel bad about wanting to kill bad people. I don't have to feel bad about enjoying killing animals. I don't have to feel bad about anything about me, any more.

If there's a hell for people who fulfill their human nature, fuck that shit, I tried to be one of the christians. All it ever gets me, or anyone else, is more kicks in the face. Except for those christians who get other christians to give money to them - they do real well, don't they?

Guess I'll have to enjoy my other side. But we all know you're either "with god" or "with the devil" and "evil", right? But it's our fault and not whatever created us.. Being a little evil feels good, anyway - part of that nature "something" gave us, so why not enjoy it. I'm going to.

great real life example of how brainwashing a kid with those fucked up fairy tales is extremely unhealthy and a really shitty thing to do.

Well like it or not.. there has to be a higher power. Whether you choose to call him/them/it "GoD" or whatever...

All this didn't just come out of a Cows ass. Something created it.

I think we were all simply genetically engineered by some higher alien power at some point in time for whatever reasons.

Evolution would never have created something like human beings naturally.

Human beings are completely out of balance with the world and too smart for their own good.

100 years ago we were driving around in horse and buggy. Now we're flying around in super sonic jets?

Nothing evolves that fast without outside interference.

Your faith is like akin to a big oak tree. Very strong for a long time, but eventually the wind WILL blow it down.

Faith needs to be like a reed, able to withstand the winds of the world.

In this respect I think you need to lighten up and recognise how to moderate yourself. I was in a very similar position to your good self. I was brought up to be a very strict Catholic and as result had a stunted upbringing. I naturally snapped and enjoyed a time of hedonistic pursuits. It's an empty life, and gradually I've learnt that it's about finding your faith in Jesus in YOUR way.

Don't feel constrained by complex interpretations. I've done a fair amount of Christological studies and my only conclusion is Pope Benedict surmised "it's all important, but at the end of the day your conscience rules".

Life your life according to the two rules of Jesus.

Quote:
On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?" "What is written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?" He answered: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" "You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live." But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" In reply Jesus said: "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. 'Look after him,' he said, 'and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.' "Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?" The expert in the law replied, "The one who had mercy on him." Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise." (NIV, Luke 10:25-37 )

P.s not really relevant but.....

Guido: (learning how to be a waiter) How far do I bow? I suppose I can even go 180 degrees.
Eliseo: Think of a sunflower, they bow to the sun. But if you see some that are bowed too far down, it means they're dead. You're here serving, you're not a servant. Serving is the supreme art. God is the first of servants. God serves men, but he's not a servant to men.

(From the film Life is Beautiful)

regardless, the whole idea of 'sin' and what is good/bad is a creation of man. nothing to do with 'god'...the idea that man thinks he can solve such questions as what god is or what god wants just goes to show man's bloated ego.

I've never seen anyone like a sports team because of the fans - same is true for religion in what I've always said, "in the beginning god created man - later man decided to return the favor". Religion and all that goes around it was created BY MAN. If you so choose to believe in God then seek God out for yourself not by what any other man says or tells you what to do or not. God does not need an interpretor or a middle man.

Many have been screwed up in life not because of what God has or hasn't done - but MAN and his selfishness and need for power. Religion itself is power - stand up there "look at me listen to me but don't do as I do" attitude.

I think hell if it exists will be filled with those claiming to know the will of God for others and it's offensive when people mix God with religion - huge difference. I'd say that God thinks pretty much like those on GFY who are angry at what has been said and one all in the name of --- or biblical interpretation.

wrong.... if GOD made us, then who made him? we did, that's who. That's why he does not exist, just like Santa Claus and the tooth fairy.

There is no magic being at the end of the line waving his wand around.

Well.. I don't see how human beings can be a product of simple uninterrupted evolution, either. The "progress" we've made within the past century in time is all but ridiculous. Too much, too fast.

And why would beings evolve to live for pleasure? "Civilized" human beings don't live for survival, any more. We live for pleasure. The adult industry is a good example of it - human beings have hijacked their reproductive process and it's now mostly used for cheap dopamine rushes. Like a drug. Not saying I'm not pleased with that.... it's just how it is.

Well and you see animals take pleasure in fulfilling their survival instincts. Our survival instincts are hijacked. That is why everyone is on drugs and eating prepackaged salt, sugar and fat by the metric ton.

That and everything else we do, forsaking survival for pleasure. Smoking cigarettes, taking alcohol, doing hard drugs, drinking carbonated glasses of sugar instead of water, etc etc etc etc

If human beings are so god damned "intelligent", and we have to be if we've made such amazing progress and discovery in only 100 years, why do we live for pleasure over our very survival? Why do we kill each other for saying the wrong words? Why do we fight for no apparent reason? Why do we do anything we do?

I've said it 100 times. Even simple bacteria is better than us, because it has a purpose. Its purpose is to reproduce and survive. It fulfills its purpose, without question, or it dies.

We simply have no purpose and we do everything BUT put survival first.

I just don't know anymore. Now that I am mad about ever believing or being programmed, I seem to enjoy cursing "him" but if I no longer believe, why and I cursing "him"? Who am I cursing... myself for ever believing it all?

It's so tough to get over things that are planted in your mind from birth. I think that I know how molested children feel, only no one poked my body - they poked my brain

Well. I never really had a religion. Never did like it, always seemed like just one more cult that was more socially acceptable. I've always thought that I was a very "spiritual" person. Well, and I am, too.... I can effect people without even interacting with them through voice, eyes or touch. There's definitely more to life than human beings know about, for sure.

You're right that most people who claim to be experts on god and living great lives will go to their hell if it exists. Well and I was always taught that living good isn't the ticket, it's the believing and the faith that makes you "saved". Either way.

These people say jesus jesus jesus and then they're the most hypocritical greedy prideful sinful judgemental people I've ever known. Oh, and then, they tell you trust god trust god, yet when they have a small problem they completely lose it and forget all about "trusting god".
