Sorry Keyzer, no offense to you or anyone, but people are generally tired of fees for every little thing, but especially where banking is concerned. The major banks have all instituted little fees for just about everything..... you write too many cheques in a month -- fee. You use another bank's ATM to make a cash withdrawal -- fee. At some banks if you want to actually deal with a real live teller, guess what? --- FEE.
But one thing I do know is, I deal with two banks locally, and have on occasion needed to get my ATM cards replaced. One was lost a few years ago, the other one wore out. Neither one charged me any kind of fee for replacement.
"Rules are rules" as you said, but some rules are just plain wrong, some are even outrageous. Rules can be changed.
As far as customer support goes, many customers are frustrated when they call, many will come across as dicks, that's a given. What's not a given is to get great customer support and problem-solving in the face of attitude. The question is, does the company want to be perceived as being one that goes above and beyond expectations?... or it is happy to tell angry frustrated customers to "deal with it, rules are rules"?
OK this will be the last from me in this thread.
If anyone has a problem or question about ePassporte or wishes to discuss this further my contact info is in my sig.
ePassporte is a business and like any other money needs to be made.
The Electron fee costs $35 to be issued ePassporte makes money off that and from withdrawals.
If you lose your card, breaks your card or for any reason needs to have a new card issued the fee will be $35. If this happens close to the renewal date the fee will be waived so you won't have to pay $35 twice.
If you never receive the card a new card will be issued free of charge.
Yes the support nofx received when he called CS wasn't good enough, he should have been told right away that he needed to pay $35 for a new card.
One of the reasons I started working for ePassporte is to provide quick effective support when webmasters need it, like always feel free to contact me with any problems.
I don't even know if its possible to get a new card for free but I am willing to try to convenice the people above me to bend the rules if I think they should.
Yes I work for ePassporte but I approch my job from the customers point of view and if I think someone is being treated wrong I will do my best to convince my bosses to reconsider.
And no ePassporte didn't issue card of poor quality to make extra money on reissuing cards.
I never received a card on one of my accounts and epass wouldn't send a new one nor refund the money.
That maybe explains why he didn't go the extra mile for you.
If you had contacted me and treated me the same way I wouldn't do anything extra for you either.
If you had contacted me explaining that the numbers wore off and you use the card daily been a member for long and asked if it was possible to get a new card for free, then maybe I would have tried to help you.
What a bunch of BS! You just said that unless one pay the fee there is no way you gonna send a new card..
This is so typical epassporte! The support don't know shit, and thats when they bother to answer to your e-mails and not just ignore your simple questions or send you some standard shit that has nothing to do with your question...
When will you start taking care of your clients, the same clients that make you money? The second a service similar to epassporte starts, I'll end everything with epass and go with the newcomers, and I hardly think I'm alone after reading this thread..
When i first signed up, i didn't want a card. I purposely did NOT check to box to issue me a card...but i still got charged the $35 anyway.
So i figured, ahh well....why not. I guess i'll take the card if they're going to force it on me. After all, it'll cost me more time to bitch at them for taking $35 when i said no to the card.
