I've heard some anecdotal evidence - a friend of mine whose partner got breast cancer met a couple who claimed to have had the same type of cancer cured at a B17 (AKA laetrile or amygdalin) clinic abroad. Apparently the alternative within the US is getting the compound from the seeds found in apricot pits which are rich in it. However, keep in mind that "B17" is not actually a vitamin and gets converted into cyanide, so use with caution.

Problem is that using just some vitamin will not cure you from almost nothing, and nobody will invest millions in finding cheap way to cure anything using some cheap vitamins, its death end. It's fucking industry, MONEY

Yes, taking lots of B17 works well for many, but like you say Big Pharma won't destroy their own industry, it's like if we decided to start teaching people how to get porn for free and/or how to cure porn addiction

In 2001 did some biz with that peach pit guy who went to prison for promoting it as a cancer cure. I think his name was Jason Vail or Vale or something. Anyway I talked to him on the phone and he swore it was legit. He was very convincing. I believe he really thought he was telling the truth. No I was not his customer.

I've been reading more today, Apricot Kernels have Cyanide in to deter herbivores from grazing, the Cyanide is combined with sugar, in healthy humans most of it passes straight through. Cancer cells feed on sugar, so when they spot the sugar they come to eat it, but then get killed by the Cyanide as it gets released from the sugar.

Some compounds have been shown to assist in apoptosis, and B17 may be one of them. Cruciferous vegetables are another example of foods shown to offer cancer fighting benefits. While I do not think it would be wise to discount medical advice in favor of dietary changes alone, I think amending our diets while we are still healthy to reap the rewards of these compounds is a better solution. After all, there is no need to cure cancer if you don't get it in the first place.

it is sad that there are things that are working for some kinds of cancer, but the research costs much dinero already so companies like gsk cannot just give out a medicament, at least not for price that will pay the research already made. another thing is that there are things that works, but they are just part of other patents, so its not possible to put that thing together, without part that is pattented, and you know, when something you have pattented works, there is always hunt for money, so ... but it is just about a time, until now goverment had no chance to do anything with health industry, but you will read some good news very soon ... have luck everyone!

For years that has been the conventional notion, but about a year ago there was a paper that suggested that we were actually going over-board on the antioxidants. The gist being that oxidation is a natural process used by our immune system to remove damaged or deleterious cells. Honestly, I haven't kept track of the story to know if it has gained credence in the medical community, but I think it's fairly well accepted that we overly rely on supplements when we should instead focus on a healthy diet.

I don't recall him mentioning getting them from supplement form. In most cases its far easier to get it from food anyway.

As much as that helps it only helps a % though. That's the best we can do. Despite what whp's endless list of moronic youtube clip 'research' say.

one of my dogs has cancer and the vet told us to put her on a Multi B vitamin. It has B17 in it.

She is not in pain but the cancer is slowly spreading. Not a cure at least not for a dog.
