it is sad that there are things that are working for some kinds of cancer, but the research costs much dinero already so companies like gsk cannot just give out a medicament, at least not for price that will pay the research already made. another thing is that there are things that works, but they are just part of other patents, so its not possible to put that thing together, without part that is pattented, and you know, when something you have pattented works, there is always hunt for money, so ... but it is just about a time, until now goverment had no chance to do anything with health industry, but you will read some good news very soon ...
