I can't breathe. I keep having anxiety attacks that cause me to go into shock and pass out. Today is just one of those days. I hate the holidays.

take a walk or try to do something that require you to concentrate/focus... inhale, exhale... keep calm

I'm trying man but every time I breathe heavy I get light headed and then freak out.

Maybe try Benedryl? It's for allergies, might make you slightly sleepy, which might calm you. Also, if you actually *have* allergies, it might be affecting your breathing which may in turn be what's giving you the anxiety.

I have suffered terrible anxiety attacks for years. When I don't have xanax available at those times, I've taken Benedryl as a last resort. Most times, it's helped. It's over the counter.

Thre breathing is due to having your head buried up Headless's ass. The attacks suck and man.. been there done that. Find a nice quite place and chill. They pass, but god they are aweful.

Heh...I know exactly how you feel. Panic and anxiety attacks are very real symptoms of a very irrational disorder. Believe me, this in no way means you are crazy or losing your mind. Many people have this condition.

It can be brought on by stress (holiday season is prime for this), or from other causes. Just a simple misfiring of seratonin in the brain can do it. Often, as odd that it suddenly appears....it will just as such disappear.

In the meantime tho, it's hell at times until you learn to manage it. I find that when I'm drinking more heavily than usual, I'm more prone to the anxiety attacks.

The advise on breathing and exercise I read earlier in this thread is good too.

I've done a bit of research on this...glad to say I'm doing much better. Yours will pass soon enough too. Hang in there.
