Heh...I know exactly how you feel. Panic and anxiety attacks are very real symptoms of a very irrational disorder. Believe me, this in no way means you are crazy or losing your mind. Many people have this condition.

It can be brought on by stress (holiday season is prime for this), or from other causes. Just a simple misfiring of seratonin in the brain can do it. Often, as odd that it suddenly appears....it will just as such disappear.

In the meantime tho, it's hell at times until you learn to manage it. I find that when I'm drinking more heavily than usual, I'm more prone to the anxiety attacks.

The advise on breathing and exercise I read earlier in this thread is good too.

I've done a bit of research on this...glad to say I'm doing much better. Yours will pass soon enough too. Hang in there.
