Need advice on a site penalized in google and msn

Hey Guys,

Im new to this site and had a quick question. I am looking into buying a domain this weekend that is a adult oriented site. The domain was created in 1998 and like I said dosent show up in google and msn if you type www the url and then .com but it shows number one in yahoo.

I checked the back links and its a ton of spam links that the owner of the site did.So i know there is some penalization.

My question is does anyone know of a good company that helps clear up domains so they can get back in the good graces of google and msn?

Thanks for any help possible.

Chris

I'm not sure you'd need a company to do that - I once purchased a domain that was blacklisted in Google, and all I had to do was follow the instructions at http://www.google.com/support/webmas...n&answer=35843 (you'll need a free Google Webmaster Tools account), and in the reason box I just mentioned that I had taken over the domain since, modified the content to fit Google's Webmaster Guidelines and was going to be a good little boy.

MSN, on the other hand, seem to be complete wankers when it comes to indexing domains - I've submitted a new site to them many times and they are the only search engine that either refuse or can't be arsed to include it.

Other than the guess system .....................how do you know what they got against your domain or site?.No point requesting re inclusion if you didn't change something. In his situation ownership of domain changed..what if it didn't?

That's the beauty of the search engines - they won't tell you jack shit. I believe there are third party blacklist checkers out there, and there's nothing to stop you from e-mailing Google and asking if they have any outstanding problems with your site, preventing it from being indexed. Whether they respond or not, however, is another story...
