Hiya,

im a UK webmaster and my site, www.bestbabevideos.com is hosted on a virtual hosting package on a server located in the UK.

I've seen a lot of mention of the 2257 US regulations. Which of this applies to me? As my site primarily contains links to material, how is this affected?

I do however host a couple of images on my own server, e.g. explicit banners, screen captures of porn sites etc.

Could somone please summarise for me? I did a search on the forum and found an overflood, so would be cool if someone could just paraphrase for me or point me in the right direction.

Just curious What if he decides to travel to usa one day? Does that still matter if his sites are not 2257 compliant?

I believe so.

Im moving to a new host and its gonna be a US server, to I think I'l have to include all the shit on 2257 in my sites.

I have no idea what I actually have to do/say though....

yeah if it's on a US server than I believe you still have to include the 2257 information

Well, technically, if you make the material available to a US citizen (which you do, I assume) you are required by the US govt to comply with the law. I wouldn't lose one bit of sleep over it, however.

ok sorry to bump an old thread,
but could you please explain to me why about 9 months ago that big english gambling operator got arrested when he arrived in the USA? He was english, his business was owned and operated in gibraltor, yet he went to the USA to get a cross flight and got arrested and charged under an american gambling offense.

most likely reason was that he was on american soil

busted on the grounds that he could not be extrodited to the usa so the usa waited for him to turn up there!

so surely why doesnt this apply to those who dont follow 2257 guidelines when having american visitors on their site?

I don't know about that gambling dude...

but I looked around the web on this one a lot before opening www.GoodingsMedia.com and UK webmasters will be fine to know we don't need to comply with 2257 (if we did, we could also prosecute all USA citizens who own guns

)

And to be on the safe side, all my sites from now on are on either a server based in Kent or one based in Sheffield

And I've been to visit both to make sure I'm not getting resold server space
