I can choose if I want to buy crack, but I can't stop hundreds of spam email coming to me daily.

i delete spam mails all day - i dont care anymore. but when someone would try to sell drugs to my kids i would have a serious problem with that person.

spammers don't shoot each other over turf wars and kill innocent bystanders in the cross fire.

In a way they both have something in common.

Drug dealers can't buy & sell legit products, so they deal the illegal product that is guaranteed to sell.

Spammers can't generate legit traffic, so they force the traffic to their sites through illegal mailing.

In other words, a bunch of losers who couldn't make a buck (or at least maintain their current lifestyle) if they were forced to use perfectly legal methods.

I'd probably say the spamming is worse, I don't really think a consensual transaction between a buyer and seller is necessarily that bad of a thing

i have never seen spam for weed, crack, coke or heroin

and i am old enough that my kids could also be 18 or 19, must not be school kids.

but seriously - if you put someone on the same level who actively sells drugs to other people (they are all anyones kids) as someone who sends out some emails then i would say your moral compass is a little off.

that does not mean i appreciate spam - but since i have been seeing people go to hell by using drugs in person, I know what is worse to me. at least i have never seen anyone die from a spam mail.

If you spam someone's inbox, they are not going to habitually open your emails until they quit getting emails, at which point they break into your home and steal your dvd player to pawn in order to get themselves more spam emails.

obviously booze and cigarettes are government approved drugs and not illegal. i would even say they should either legalize weed or ban also alcohol and cigs - because banning weed in comparison to the other makes no sense.

i smoked weed for some years and therefore i know there are people out there that sell you legit stuff for a fair price and some that try to hook you on harder stuff cause they obviously make more money from you when you need 2 grams of coke a day as opposed to 10 grams of weed per month

and i have no sympathy for those assholes when they end up in jail.

Comparing spamming email to selling crack? Your logic is seriously skewed and perhaps you need some sort of medication to balance your brain.

If you have a problem with illegal content or fraud, that's one thing and 100% agreeable. But with your way of thinking, if one website is fraudulent or has illegal content, then they ALL must be evil.

You would figure that in 2010, humans would be evolved enough in their mental capacity to realize that no matter which group of people you have, there will always be a few bad apples in the bunch. Spammers, politicians, mechanics, priests... there's shady bastards in every group.

And even though spammers blast their stuff, it could be useful products such as debt consolidation or insurance/loans, etc. Porn peddlers push nothing but porn.. I looked in my 20k+ spam folder for porn spam, and it's filled with so much mainstream spam that I can't find any porn in it. I don't think porn spam is much of an issue today other than for Christians and Bitches that complain about everything.
