Should content owners sue these guys ( RAVEN RILEY )

http://www.tnaflix.com/view_video.ph...aa29cf58af7a00

wtf is up with this industry..:disgust

How can i promote sites like Raven Riley if every joe blow video site is giving away the full version members rips. ?

Sponsored by FLING and FLESHLIGHT

am i missing something here . why are affiliates the only ones bringing this up ?

i'm sure the signups are doing fine for many sites still but i dont see that lasting long considering this new wave of "steal everything that isn't nailed down" mentality

martinsc 07-27-2007 03:26 AM

that site is full of it....
:Oh crap

Matt 26z 07-27-2007 03:27 AM

A lot of times content in "provided" by the owners in exchange for the traffic...thus cutting out affiliates alltogether.....

as these sites get bigger...the whole affiliate model will continue to dissappear....

no need for the "affiliate" anymore when programs can just make big number traffic deals in exchange for some content....:2 cents:

Theo 07-27-2007 03:33 AM

OldSchoolJim, I don't think any serious business owner will give you permission to use a 25min clip for promotion. At least I hope not, unless he's that desperate.

You would be amazed at what site owners will do to get sales to keep ratios on par....(CB's,steady profits...etc..)

its like watching crack addicts chasing the rock...

I am not saying RR's people have allowed this...but i would not be surprised if it was the case....

Sites like pirate bay can get you 1000's of type ins per day for videos watermarked on their sites.....

branding branding branding.....not all surfers are smart enough to find everything they are wanting to whack to for free....but i am sure a lot of program owners would rather have them type the domain in than to have a surfer click an affiliate link....they just wont say it in public....well...some will..

it is the wave....you will either catch it or drown in it...

I have to agree with you. We brand full videos and then release them on P2P file shares... we have been doing this for a long time. I look at it as the same as hosted content that you don't have to pay storage or BW for....

not saying this isn't perhaps a viable approach but as an affiliate i dont have access to the same material. if your going to give the whole shebang away let your affiliates do it for you. and let us advertise nothing but other sites :winkwink:

FACT: People who have inoperable brain tumors do not live as long as you have claimed to have it. Your first cliam was on 9-25-06. That is TEN months. Diagnosis for this sort of thing is 3-6 months. SmokeyTheBear is blowing smoke out his ass.

OldSchoolJim, you are right, but this traffic will convert at 1:1000+ range and will take a lot of eyeballs to get those hits, literally millions. We truly don't like this business model just for the simple reason is not the most profitable option for us and I think for many aff.programs.

At the end some of us will be forced to turn to perfect10 hawks, sue a few of those true abusers and set an example for the rest. For the record we examine some cases as we speak.

Sorry, but I hate the "Sponsored by" crap that people push on programs, happened a lot with AFF as well.
It's not like Fling and Fleshlight sought out this site and said "hey, you look like you have a great product, we'll give you millions of dollars in support if you just put up our ads somewhere."

I'm sure tnaflix is just an affiliate like everyone else with no real formal contact with Fling nor Fleshlight at all... they're just hoping for sales, not for someone to "sponsor them".

KimJI 07-27-2007 05:26 AM

I don't have millions of hits every day, but I still convert fairly well. I don't run any "full porn" sites. I run mainstream sites, and sneak in textlinks and banners to FHG and run small "erotic" sections on the mainstream sites go get fresh surfers.

If people are surfing for porn, there are almost enough out there for free, so no reason for them to sign up. If you on the other hand run sites that target mainstream, and sneak in some hot chicks or banners to sites like Juggcash.com or FTV, you get a much better conversion rate, and lower BW bill.

It wont make you the new Lensman, Boneprone or Serge. But it will give you a solid income and a nice community

tranza 07-27-2007 05:46 AM

That site should be taken down......

You're right in some cases Stuart, but at the same time they're not exactly shutting any of these affiliates down either. It gets reported, and then ignored. Wouldn't you agree it shows a pattern? That's where it'll probably end up hurting them eventually, those decisions to ignore it and allow it to continue.

Meanwhile, these sites are taking all the risk and at least temporarily will be getting all the reward. They'll learn which programs to leave alone, and which programs don't care if you post their full vids. They'll continue to get the increase in traffic that affiliates will lose.

If it gets reported and ignored, then that's wrong and I agree.
But to just notice a page that has Raven Riley on it, then hit GFY right away with "Sponsored by!" statements... is jumping the gun a little.

Also, what's stopping these people from signing up again with different information, the ads re-appear immediately with a different ref code that no one notices... and people just complain rather than report it again?

I'm just saying... let's not condemn Flight, Fleshlight or anyone else until proven guilty.

I'm not running any of them. Just take note that some of the biggest affiliates in the game advertise on them.

xxxRumor 07-27-2007 07:25 AM

This sharing shit will hurt the whole industry. Traffic is very unproductive even worse than tgp. You just can’t sell the video site memberships anymore to these surfers only dating and live girls.

And how many files of yours will you upload? You upload 1 get some sales, then 100 files then what?

Why would the surfer pay you then?

I hope FBI will go after them for 2257 and CP, because these sites are illegal THIEVES for every video program owner uploads 100 are stolen by the site owner and their surfers.

Fuck those sharing sites and torrents!

xxxRumor 07-27-2007 07:26 AM

when you upload a 2-3 minute clip is a good promo, but 20min - you are a fucking moran!

You know, back in the day EVERY review site knocked us for not allowing downloads, only streaming video. Plus we had a bunch of members support tickets bitching about how they couldn't download. So, after about a year of negative, we now allow downloading. So, now we find our members content uploaded in places like that site. I get pissed, but in the end, it is my own damn fault. If all paysites would stop allowing downloads, this problem would be VERY rare.. I think

I've heard you can let your members download your content but when they share it, video file gets scrambled. if i am not mistaken "www.downloadpass.com" (pimproll) does it ask them how

True, DRM is a solution, Just not one that we have taken on yet, not to mention re-encoding ALL of our content. Yikes! It will happen one day, just not looking forward to doing it! haha

RawAlex 07-27-2007 12:31 PM

If DRM is the solution, then I think you misunderstood the question.

Copyright holders should be sending DMCA notices to Google to get those sites removed from their SERPs and banned from google. That would go a long way to cutting down their traffic, and significantly lower the problem of potential buyers being trained on how to leech instead.

Brother Bilo 07-27-2007 12:37 PM

Well, aren't those sites usually loaded with viruses and spyware? The "free" porn I've experienced has always fucked my computer up in a major way. Fuck em.

tucker 07-27-2007 12:49 PM

I find this thread rather amusing. One side believes that it should be stopped and the other thinks its perfectly fine and possibly a good place to get advertising from.

Falcon enforce our rights, we file lawsuits, we send out notices and when our efforts go public you start yelling at us for enforcing our rights because we are going after someone who bought you a drink. A fellow bro if you will.

Sponsor programs and content producers carry a major burden. Not 2257 but COST associated with production and distribution.

Affiliates get to use to supposedly to promote a specific program but how many use it for other things as well. How many of your trade scripts cause a redirect from an image you do not own to another tgp who will send you traffic back. That in itself is infringement.

The DMCA does not afford companies such as tnaflix any cover and they are on our radar and we will get around to nailing them at some point. Its a tough call of where to begin, there are soooo many.

I have taken a stand along with others and we get little to no support as a result. Its easy to sit behind a keyboard and make assumptions. Heck it would be easy for me if I didn't also have to shell out the expense or liability.

In the end, everyone appears to be innocent and everyone appears to be guilty. If people are really serious about stopping this then don't support the companies that perpetuate theft. Treat this business like a real business.

I am NOT calling anyone out I am just saying that it seems that there is a group always looking for an angle. And as long as they exist, there seems to always be someone who will buy a spot on it.

Here is my offer, if your content is on a site and you can find others who have content on a site and the site looks like it makes money, I will join in and help you slam them shut while also collecting whatever they had or made. Lets see how serious people are about this. There is the offer.

You may now return to your daily hate programming.
